Solar Rechargeable 3.0" LCD 12MP 8X Digital Zoom Camcorder with SD Slot/AV-Out

Pros: - outside, during daylight, you can use the solar panel while filming - outside video quality is OK - looks reasonably good - nice big viewing display - easy to use - packaged complete, with cables, charger, etc. - compact

Cons: - the 1500 mAh lithium ion battery is not working right. After charging, I put it in the camera and I switched it on. Afer a few tries it finally started up (I had to open and close the battery hatch a few times), but immediately it showed that the battery only was two thirds full. It didn't last long before it was showing empty. After a few charges it last a bit longer, but still is empty too soon. It works better on normal AAA batteries. But.. - Sometimes it won't switch off, I have to open the battery hatch. - Sometimes it doesn't react to the "function" switch (the round switch that switches between filming, photo's and looking at video's/pictures). Then I have to "reset" it again by opening and closing the battery hatch. - solar panel only works when camera is switched on? (question mark, because it's not clear) - user manual is not detailed enough. - the light for filming in the dark is useless, it's way too small - filming inside, during daylight, produces poor image quality which is "grained".

Other: A bit dissapointing. A mobile phone can produce better film quality.

Pros: solar charge works (while in use) so if the battery is getting low you are able to charge it during the day. have not had any issues with the battery. looks fine during the day but at night i would not use it. came with an ok carrying case but it gets the job done.

Cons: SHIPPING!! took over a month to receive.... i have the psp camera (1.3 mega pix) and it provides the same quality... this was only 15 dollars more but has solar charging. box was damaged on one side but not enough to effect the package. and if you buy this do not expect to use the zoom it makes the image horrible, and the video can get chopy if the lighting is bad.

Other: if you want a cheap camera with cool features its worth it but it is not 12 mega pix as it says on the box, on the camera or on the description online. its a good price for what you get.
