Solar Self-Recharge 60-LED Tree Light (White LEDs)

Pros: Turn on automatically when it goes dark. Lights stay on a long time (well after I've gone to bed - perhaps all night). String out for about 10+ meters.

Cons: none

Other: Great buy for automatic decorative lighting.

Pros: Very simple - just put the panel in the ground, hang them up and wait till the sounds goes down.

Cons: Not to sure if the solar panel/leds are waterproof.

Other: These look good out of the packet but are a bit underwhelming during the day you put these up and you've got no idea if they are going to work - however the reward at night time is great as they look excellent!

Pros: Save energy. It turns on when there's no light, and charges when there isn't. Comes with an on and off trigger.

Cons: Haven't used these for very long, so I can't say anything bad about it.
Not sure how bright they are at night.

But it works!

Other: Good for the Christmas season if you have lots of trees for decoration.

Pros: Easy to set up, automatic light sensor to turn on when it gets dark, dark colour wires to hide trees. Well designed LEDs

Cons: Not as bright as I would have liked, but probably asking for too much

Other: Set it up and forget it for the Christmas season! Don't forget to clear the snow off the solar panel.

Pros: doesnt need batteries or power lead, lights up when its dark, battery power lasts the whole night

Cons: not that bright but still good for the garden

Other: lights up the garden enough to see during the night, self contained and no fuss to use

Pros: Look very nice at night. When I water my plant in the yard, water would splash onto the light but no burnout yet. The cable length is very long (11.5m). Run along side of my yard perfectly.

Cons: There are 2 settings. Continuous light would last about 6 hours fully charged. Maybe the blink setting would last 12 hours but I didn't try that setting. It's more for decoration than for lighting up the path. Double up 2 strings helps a little. Haven't try 3 strings yet.

Other: I wouldn't mind pay a bit more for better light and higher mAh battery.

Pros: Stays lit for a long period even though i have the solar panel under a tree at the moment where the lights are installed. I was amazed how long they stay lit even though they don't get much light there to charge the battery.

Cons: None i can think of.

Other: Good value, works well, i certainly recommend them.

Pros: Very easy to install and use. As long as the solar cells capture the sun during the day, the lights stay lid for quite a while. Very handy when you decorate for christmas outdoors and don´t wan´t to have mains cables lying around your lawn.

Cons: Need´s of course sunshine during the day. Gets easy covered with snow (but I can´t really blame the product :O)) It would be a nice feature to have a setting that allowed lights fading independently, besides the on and blinking simultaneously settings

Other: Very good product, i am very happy with the purchase, and as always at an unbeatable price on dealextreme.

Pros: I opened it and found out that it has extra slot for battery. So I put one extra battery and connected it serially. So I got it working on 2,4 volts. I got much (at least 2 times) brighter light in LEDs with this kind of setup. Now I have 2x2400mAh (each 1.2V) batteries in it.

Cons: Weak stock battery, only 800mAh. Well, I am not sure how will this react to rain, since I am going to put them outside on the ground.

Other: I noticed that with this setup button for blinking now doesn’t blink but gives constant light but with stock brightness!!! When I put the switch in position for constant light it gives 2 times brighter constant light. That is good because I dont need blinking, and now I can choose between 2 types of brightness that I want to use.

Pros: lights up all night from dusk to dawn and illuminates area very well. visible from long distance

Cons: led's not water rain / splash proof and not able to be subjected to large amounts of water

Other: excellent value for money. you could not make it for less even if you tried !very happy with the purchase and am likely to buy more because they work really well and do not use disposable batteries or mains power
