  • Decent unit with some drawbacks

    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: Apart from the base and coil holder, all parts are made of metal. Assembled properly with bolts and nuts so it is easy to take apart and adjust.

    Cons: The unit is a bit too narrow. Common 75 mm wide solder coils are just a bit too wide to fit in the unit. Mine was poorly assembled and a bit askew in all aspects. After disassembling, straightening all the metal parts, deburring and then reassembling the parts with proper adjustements everything was fine.

    Other: Worth the price if your solder coils are narrow enough to fit in the unit.
