Sound Activated Electronic Shock Bark-Stop Collar for Dogs (Bark Control)

Pros: My dog stopped barking! In fact, he didn't want to go outside anymore :) Now he has two electronic shock things on his neck (invisible fence is the other).

Cons: The collar stopped working after 3 months or so. I opened the case, and the transformer had fallen off the board. This most likely occured when the dog shakes himself. The maker of this collar needs to glue the transformer in place. I am going to buy another collar, and apply hot glue to the transformer before I let the dog wear it.

Other: Good price, but not well built.

Pros: Lightweight, cheap, easy to use, well-built

Cons: I worry that the battery life won't last long (but I can always purchase more, and that's good!)

Other: Such collar costs 10-X expensive at our local pet care store, thanks DX for providing such a cheap service!

Pros: For the time being, some of us will be getting more sleep than previous. The annoying dog barked twice, yips three times and since then has been quiet at least in our presence. The units do not seem well-protected from weather but we put a small plastic bag over the box and ran the collar through slits, just in case. This doesn't seem to affect operation at all.

Cons: Some protection against water incursion would make it better.

Other: Am ordering a second collar for a friend today.

Pros: -Well it give's shocks when dock barks Very easy to use..just put battery in and put collar on your dog

Cons: Its not always working i think it doesnt "register" all barks coming out from my dog so dog can bark 1-5 times before it gives shock

Other: Could be some sensitive button on it? You can test it by blowing in sensor i tested it on my self and yes it gives small shock :)

Pros: Im real impressed at this. i have a little dachshund (also known as a wienerdog) and they are real stubborn! she always acts as in charge and barks a lot and with a lot i mean ALL THE TIME!! she barked whenever the doorbell ringed, somebody walked downstairs, opened the fridge, lighted a cigarette, etc... but she NEVER stayed quiet. i could scream at her, spray her with water, throw a pillow at her, use loud noises (AKA coins in a can), but nothing worked! then i decided to buy this and !!!AFTER TWO DAYS!!! she hasnt barked at all!

Cons: It looks real uncomfortable as my dog is real small (8,7kg) and the collar is "Huge". my dog once barked to the fifth stage and whimpered as the shock was a bit hard for such a small dog...

Other: Ive never been so reliefed that somebody ringed the doorbell. now my dog just might bark ONCE instead of all the time the guest is over. My dog first got real submissive with the collar on, like she was being demoted to the lowest possible level of a pack member but quickly got over it when i showed love towards her that she isnt submissed to low levels as she believed. I never believed that a shock collar could be so effective at teaching a dog not to bark! Thanks a lot DX for making my life a lot easier!

Pros: This is my second collar for my dog (border collie) and it really work. My dog learned after the first shock. I try it and yes it snap but not hurt.
Price is very good.

Cons: here in Canada, during winter, it was not always working. I think the device inside was frozing.

Other: for the price, this collar is the best I have found. I have try the citronel and it did not work with my dog. So I was a little bit affraid with shock but it was the only solution to stop the bark and the shock don't hurt. It only give a nice snap and dog will think twice before.

Pros: It's great for the value! I tried it on myself, so knows it doesn't hurt. Now my dog is safe n not barking and I don't have to worry that he is disturbing my neighbours! The collar is adjustable, though it is a bit long now, I use cable tie to tighten it, so it works fine. I see it being used to adulthood. After using for a month it's still working great. Lucky I chanced upon this before buying the $200 ones.

Cons: I hope it comes with option to add more batteries.

Pros: This Collar is an excellent value. Works reasonably well. After a couple days, the dog will know the sound means they have to calm down. 1 Beep, then progressive shock levels, 4 shocks, then resets. Shocks are mild and should not hurt a dog.

Cons: Occasionally will not deliver shock, Tested on self and seems to only shock 75% of the time (when it should be). The dog will occasionally set it off accidentally, by scratching, laying down, or general play. Does not activate for Wimpering, or Crying. (only barking)

Other: Great value Use under supervision Dont waste your money on an expensive store bought one.

Pros: If your dog likes to bark a lot and is really stubborn, the collar will change its behavior. Mine stopped barking like there's no tomorrow, and now only cries a little instead (not because of the pain, it just won`t be quiet anyway).

Cons: If you have two dogs and the one not using the collar starts to bark near the one that actually is, the product will activate. But it seems that, at first, it only makes a noise, as an alert before the real shock.

Other: Great for barking control.

Pros: Works as advertised, 48 hours of wear and the dog stopped barking entirely! this is a great training tool.

Cons: battery life is fairly short and when the battery gets too low the device starts beeping and shocking non-stop! with that in mind, the collar should not be used unattended.

Other: Good product, useful for training, but not for constant use. DO NOT USE UNATTENDED.
