SSC P7 W724C0-BSYPI 3.6V~4.2V 12W LED Emitter (Bare)

Pros: Blindingly bright. Durable construction, easy to solder tabs.

Cons: Be sure to paste to a heat sink before powering anywhere near high power. See my uploaded heat photo, with small heatsink it stayed around 108 degrees F.

Other: Just a spectacular demonstration of how far high power LED emitters have come.
Note this is not the brightest warm white bin - slightly cool white color.

Pros: Good quality construction, Very high light.

Cons: I don´t like this color, This LED don´t like pure white common LEDs, like a little bit yellow. Need a special driver, because internal construction are 4 LEDs in parallel, if is serial, will be more easy to use, but depend of the application. Cree MC-E have all pins external and you can make your configuration parallel or serial.
Caution the base of the LED is short-circuit with position pin. The startboard need be insolation.

Other: I use in www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.13803 reflector and a good option. But you need a starboard.

Pros: Bright? Did i say BRIGHT? If you stare at it you easyly can get your retina cooked.
The leads are good marked with a small hole for polarity.

Cons: Cons? There are none for the LED itself. Period. :)
But it is sad, that here arent many reflectors or optics for those.
I found a bunchload of optics offsite and they work great. I whised they where listed here.

Other: Cheap, powerfull, beautyfull!

Pros: It really is VERY bright, just what I want for my super flash light project. Everything is pretty mutch as advertised.

Cons: Really needs a huge heatsink to run it a full power for long durations at low temp. to have a long life span. A bit tricky to attach to a heat sink and get it posisioned correctly in a reflector.

Other: I like it! Probably will be getting more of these 12 W Z-power LEDS!

Cons: DX doesn't provide the right power source for DC and AC. Its very hard to find good power source for this LED both DC and AC.

Other: SSC P7 W724C0-BSYPI 3.6V~4.2V 12W LED Emitter (Bare). Buy with caution, ask lots of questions, and take the time to buy the right power source for it. And the extra heat sink.
