What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. Pros: - Read SM /XD / MS / SD / MMC / MD / CF cards and images to see where going each card. - Very small product 9cm*6cm. - Don't needed power source just connect but if you use a hub it can doesn't work correctly because power source is not enough so just connect it directly on USB port of your computer.
Cons: - USB cable is small 5cm.
- I have only plastic material but it is good quality.
- It is compatible with Windows 98 / ME / 2000 / XP, Mac OS 9.1, Linux 2.4
Other: - I recommend it because it's not expansive and useful.

Pros: Completely integrated design ( no need to plug in a cable)
Plug and play
USB 2.0 (FAST transfer speeds, much better than other readers on DX)
Supposedly this uses the: Realtek RTS5158 which is one of the faster/fastest rated at this site:

I haven't been able to pop the top on this card reader and visually verify, but the USBID.exe utility confirmed the ID. This card reader KILLS the other readers I've ordered from DX. Many of which use the AU6371 chip, which is another supposedly very fast chip.
Cons: The footprint is a little bit bigger than I usually like, but the quality is excellent. The build is all plastic, but i have lots of confidence in the durability of this device.
Other: Great card reader for the price. A little bit big, but unless you need ultimate portability, this is one of the best on DX so far.

Pros: I'm into the things I get looking good this card reader works great does what it has to do and the color is so cute its compact and the usb plug hides in the reader it comes packaged in a presentable manner as to give for a gift I bought this card reader to carry with my laptop and its the cheapest I have found this product therefor I'm very happy with it
Cons: now the hard part is figuring out who you could give this to as a x-mass gift
Other: it's cheap, it's useful, it's compact and to top it off it's a cute color
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: The build quality of the reader is really good, i am confident it will last longer than the original reader i purchased from eBay.
The device supports USB2.0
The USB cable tucks away allowing for the reader to be easily carried and as the cable is permanently attached you don't need to worry about carrying/finding a cable.
Cons: I don’t think there are any
Other: It is cheap, small and built well; I don’t think you can go wrong with it

Pros: I cannot rate this higher than 5!! It is cheap and yet extremely fast in reading and writing to my CF card. I have a lexxar CF card that has a 300x writing speed, which was read from very quickly in my computer. Much faster than using the USB cable attached to my camera like before. It reads SM /XD / MS / SD / MMC / MD / CF cards.
Cons: None i can think of, except maybe plasticky casing, but that is a nitpick, it is still pretty solid plastic...
Other: Definitely highly recommended if you are in search of a fast and cheap card reader, even for fast cards such as mine. Great product!

Pros: - Nice color, attractive appearance.
- Very durable build quality, inspite of plastic.
- Good speed.
- Works stably even with Windows Vista.
- Well-organized cable.
- Good price (and also free shipped by Deal Extreme).
Cons: Short cable. But it is not a problem for me. I write it just to complete this form.
Other: I highly recommend this product. It could be a nice gift. I wish I had known it earlier. I also wonder why it is not very well-known.

Pros: old usb thumb drive writes 1.5MB and reads 5.5MB. This reader writes 5.6MB and reads 17MB. using the same SD card. Top speed at such low price. I can confirm that it uses one of the fastest chipset. compact and usb cable stored inside the unit.
Cons: None at this time. only the usb cable could be a bit longer
Other: go for it. I was helped with a previous reviewer pointing out it uses a very fast chipset. certainly not disappointed. Realtek RTS5158 which is one of the faster/fastest rated at this site:

Pros: this compact cardreader works much better than expected. Windows XP had no problem recognizing this device and my pictures from an 8GB compact flash are quickly transferred to my PC. trsnfer rate is about 30MB/s. Great!
I chose this particular reader beacuse of the attached USB wire, which make it easier to carry around.
Cons: wire is just a little too short, but who cares! this reader is made to be a travel companion!
Other: buy it, if you need it. otherwise save your money! what else am I supposed to be writing. I have no time to waste reaching these 500 words. enough?

Pros: - Takes quite a few formats, including xD
- USB 2.0
- Non-tacky design and color
- USB tucks in neatly when not in use
Cons: - Plastic covering though OK isn't the most sturdy
- USB "tail" is a tad too short: reader does not sit properly on the table after being plugged into my laptop.
Other: Get it! The price is decent, so's the build quality. The length of the USB "tail" is a minor issue really, more aesthetic than practical as far as I can tell at this point.

Pros: - The design is simple and the color is nice.
- For the price, it is a very well-built and fast USB reader.
- Supports just about any flash card type, especially SDHC. SDHC support is becoming of a standard and there are still card readers that do not support it.
Cons: - The USB cable is very short and is not suitable for situations that makes the unit hard to reach. It would have been good if a USB extension cord is provided or if an external (mini USB) cable can be used.
Other: You can't go wrong with this USB card reader, I would choose this over others available in the site any day.
