ST0411 Vehicle DIY Cigarette Lighter Socket (12V)

Pros: have bought the Vehicle DIY Cigarette Lighter Socket (12V) about a mth ago. Have been using it for my motorcycle. use it to charge my phone and devices on the go. diy myself and it works great. it comes with cap thus making the product water proof. it is not hard to diy on the vehicle just make sure the polarity is correct

Cons: nothing much to say. so far it have been working great on my vehicle

Other: it is a good deal for the price.

Pros: + Reasonable price. + Extremely useful in a car. + 20A current (if really 20A - it is great). + Thread is not complete which allows to rotate the included nut for 1-2 turns during installation only. + Fixes plug well due to internal "holes".

Cons: - Included fuse is just 5A not 20A. - Requires special skills or visiting a service station for installation.

Other: Extremely useful but should be installed correctly.

Pros: Simple enough Has a cover

Cons: I purchased this to install on my motorbike but when I got it, it looked too flimsy and I didn't trust it to not rust - but particularly I didn't trust the mounting nut as the thread on the body of the device is cut in such a way the nut can slide up befiore screwing on the last turn. This seems quite smart till I gave it an actual go and really don't think it will hold properly.

Other: I put it away and won't use it.

Pros: It is of a good solid quality build.. It include a fuse in the wiring, thus protecting the equipment in case power surge. The socket has a rubber stopper(top) prevent water slippage in. So far been using it, not problem arise under rain or shine..

Cons: The socket wall are thick, for the toughness.. which made the socket quite bulky. If fixed on a motorbike, is not meant to be use during rain as rain might short-circuit the cig socket.

Other: recommend for DIY master for external cig socket for motorbike..

Pros: - 18 AWG Wire Gauge is very good for a product from Chinese websites. - Black ground cable has ring for easy installation on bolt to metal body of car. - Inline Fuse includes fast blow 20amp glass fuse - Clear heat shrink used on the connectors - Locking ring allows for quick installation and keeps it in place. - Soft rubber cap for the outlet prevents dust and dirt from entering. - Black wire and Red wire (including fuse holder) are approx 64 cm long.

Cons: None come to mind.

Other: This is a Quality product! but expensive.

Pros: Very good quality - I purchased this for my boat and therefore intentionally decided to get the more expensive one on the site, but I was still impressed that the quality was even better than I had expected. Similar items in South Africa cost at least 3 times more and is not even of this quality.

Cons: I really cannot see any problem with this.

Other: If you require a good quality 12v socket with a splashproof front cover - then this is the right one for you.

Pros: ST0411 Vehicle DIY Cigarette Lighter Socket is accurately made, good quality. Easy to install. Wires have good length. Keeps plug from pulling out or falling out at the vibration

Other: the good ST0411 Vehicle DIY Cigarette Lighter Socket , doesn't rust on damp air even when I forget to close a rubber sealing cap...

Pros: Looks and feels well made. Plastics well molded. Cap closes tight, probably at least splash-proof. Wires sufficient in length, connectors solid. Comes with fuse holder (fuse included). Intelligent screw-on system - easy to install.

Cons: Fuse may not be sufficient. Should be a blade fuse. Fuse may not be easily reachable after installation. A bit thicker wires wouldn't hurt. Could be a bit cheaper, but it's considerably cheaper than car store ones as is.

Other: Doesn't look like it will fall apart and will not look out of place in any car. Should last as long as the OEM lighter socket.

Pros: These are very nice 12V outlets. They look exactly like a name brand marine grade outlet that costs much more. The quick connect mounting ring allows you to easily install them quickly. They come with a few feet of wire and insulated boots over the electrical connectors. There is a fuse holder on the positive wire. Nice rubbery cap with retainer.

Cons: I don't see any cons at this piont.

Other: These are great outlets. If you need it, get it. The quality is much better than most of the items I've bought on this site.

Pros: Good build quality. I like the way you can quickly mount them as you can push the nut over the thread so you only have to make half a turn to firmly lock the socket into place. Also the cap is made from rubber and reads "marine" suggesting it is some kind of water proof. Not necessary for my application but if you want to use it on a boat that should be no problem. Overall the product feels very sturdy.

Cons: None so far.

Other: Good value for the price!
