Standalone Analog TV Tuner Box with Remote - High Resolution 1680*1050px (View TV on LCD without PC)

Pros: Small and lightweight, very good package, remote control, power supply, VGA cable, audio cable included. The product was tested with some monitors:
STI 19-inch LCD
Samsung Syncmaster 550S
Philips 52-inch Full HD LCD television
Alpine IVA 310
Midi 10 Pol LCD Television
With the exception Syncmaster and the STI, tested both the VGA output and the composite video.
In the VGA output perfect image in all including supporting the resolution of 1280x1024 the STI and 1080i from Philips.
In the composite video performance in philips left a little to want, but if taking into account the amount paid, acceptable.
The inputs of S Video and Video compounds, are useful and functional, tested with a Playstation 2 and a DVD Philips 707.
Very interesting to use in the office or in the bed room, with a single monitor can you have the PC, DVD and video game installed.

Cons: Slightly expensive ... The angle of operating the remote control is restricted is necessary to point accurately to the unit.
The reception of TV is bad, even with the excellent antenna SKU 05174. Only satisfactorily works when plugged by cable of my cable TV operator.
I planned use it in the car with my DVD Alpine IVA 310 + 05174 antenna, but ... does not serve, the antenna would have much more gain be feasible to use, what the car is virtually impossible for aesthetic and space reasons, besides, the image and audio does not remain fixed when the vehicle is in motion.

Other: Very good as connections manager of the display, but as the TV tuner leaves to be desired.

Pros: Allowing to connect composite (RCA) and cable video sources to any computer screen (with VGA).
for example: playstation, TiVO, DVD and cable signal.
The case itself is small and light.
Sound quality is decent.
Support wide-screen resolutions.
i use it on a 22" LCD screen and it fits well.

Cons: Not a bargain
Picture quality is fair. don't expect much...
User manual doesn't supply any useful information about installation, though its not difficult to figure it out by yourself.
The remote doesn't function really well, needed to point exactly on the receiver.
No aspect ratio selection.

Other: There's nothing like the good old television...

Pros: I was worried about getting this because the comments below said that it didn't support B/G or some other things, and i can safely say it supports EVERYTHING.
I was confused how the Audio passthrough works (i use it for 360 audio), in fact, when you turn the unit off with the remote, the passthrough is active, otherwise you get audio from the unit itself. Very useful. You can manually set 4:3,16:9,16:10, and zoomed in versions of these ratios, so the image doesn't forcefuly stretch.

Cons: Remote control did not come with batteries.
Uses simple "Bob" deinterlacing that you can't turn off that makes the image twitch a little
Default language is Chinese
Tiny user's guide that comes with it is only in Chinese
No idea how to get the VGA passthrough working, as the cables they give you are wrong (at least for the case i wanted to use it for)
Cannot take in S-Video input, just composite, VGA and TV coax

Other: VERY capable unit for this low price. Highly recommended if you have a monitor laying around, and would like to use it as a TV.

Pros: Very nice tuner, does what its supposed to do. Small and nice design. Good quality (cable signal to a 20" TFT) Simple to use menu (it came in chinese but you can change it) Command works fine, and it looks nice. Good overall image quality, works also with a console input. Auto channel scan worked like a charm.

Cons: menu came in chinese, i lost a few minutes to change it to english! nothing very serious to mention by now (1 month use).

Other: I recomend it if you need to give use to a TFT that you have without use.

Pros: Wery useful gadget for this price. It was smaller and compact as I expected. The built in speaker is useful if you dont have a standalone amplified speaker or speaker built in the monitor. Also works old CRT and Tft monitors. If you have an elecric blackout the system remember the stations, and the last state (on/off, channel) when the power goes back.

Cons: It's an ANALOGUE SYSTEM! Its not a really con, but it if in your country DVBT /DVBC boroadcasted you can't use it. The default language is Chinese, and it could be hard to find the language change. (last icon at the menu, and than the first item, press right) The image quality is not perfect, but it more than affordable than I expected (it also depending of the quality of signal)

Other: If you use automatic channel search BEFORE searching set the proper audio system (eg: B/G). Unless you have bad sound and should change this setting on each chanel one by one, or rescan channels with a good audio system setting.

Pros: High resolutions supported - up to 1920x1080. The device has a built-in speaker. Plenty of connectors for input and output.

Cons: Initially, language was set to chinese. It was hard to find language settings in menu. The box is very light. I can say that the box is attached to cables, rather than cables to the box.

Other: It's the great multi-functional device.

Pros: Turns any (LCD) monitor into a TV, with automatic switching between computer and TV-function. PIP is a nice extra too! I had an old PC with LCD on my desktop. It now doubles as an analog TV.

Cons: Not really. Sorting found channels is awkward with only the "channel swap" function available.

Other: Wonderful product, just what I needed! Great value for money. Wish Dealextreme would have a DVB-C version with smartcard reader :-)

Pros: -Price; -Easy to use and install; -Radio, video and Tv all in the same device; -Full HD up to 1920x1080; -Give your old TFT and CRT a new life and style;

Cons: -The image quality could be better (thought its very acceptable for this price); -It came in Chinese as de default language but its easy to put it in English!

Other: Its a great cheap gadget, works perfectly with the Cable TV(Zon) in Portugal, and i have all the non digital channels in the box. A excellent product and would be better if DX had a similar box with DVB-C tuner! I have already recommended this product to my friends!

Pros: I don't know why, but it is difficult to find many other gadgets with its same functions. The product works fine. There are several options of connectors. Even though I will not use most of them, those can be really useful

Cons: It seems really fragile. All the menus are in Chinese, it would be realy nice if it had at least instructions in English. Anyway, since there are not so many menu options, we end up finding whatever we need.

Other: Considering that there are not many options of products as this, it is worth buying.

Pros: Support Singapore DVBT channel searching. It does what it describe. Channel is clear. Sound clear as well. Small and portable.

Cons: The audio mode need to manually set B/G mode for every channel. The remote control's key abit soft and sticky. Chinese character display on the menu

Other: It does what it describe. Worth its value compare to other big brand which might cost you 2-4x the money.
