Static-Release Wrist Strap

Pros: very easy to use can save your electronics from static discharges

Cons: Can get in the way but you get used to it

Other: If you work with computers or static sensitive electronics, you really need something like this to avoid breaking things.

Pros: You need this if you open your computer case. I fried my memory stick because a co-worker said just hold on the side of the computer case and you'll be alright. But if you work on carpeted floors, you are constantly producing static electricity.

Cons: Hassle somewhat, having something dangling from your wrist, wires aren't long enough.

Other: This is cheap compared to buying it at our local computer stores.

Pros: IT is easy to use and saves electronics.

Cons: The strap might get in the way of your work.

Other: This is good for working with electronics or computers. I actually did fry a component on my computer. Its good for the price. Also it provides a nice way to have fail-safe protection from static-electricity producing carpet. And please dont be one of those that will never happen to me people. It works pretty well. Happy Soldering I guess.

Pros: - Protects your equipment from static shock - Comfortable - Reasonable length of cable, could possibly be a bit longer - Great price, 5x less than most shops where I am - Crocodile clip can be removed so you can plug the cable directly to a ground socket if your workbench has one.

Cons: - None?

Other: These are really worth buying if your going inside electrical devices, you can easily fry something important without one. Don't think it won't happen to you, I know someone who lost their graphics card to a small shock his would have prevented :-(

Pros: Probably does as advertised (never measured)

Cons: Elastic strap will probably wear out over time, and cause poor connectivity...

Other: A cheap antistatic strap for people who don't use it much.

Pros: Cheap, Can un-clip the wrist strap

Cons: Clip could be a bit stronger

Other: If you work with the inside of pcs get one!

Pros: Seems to work fine. Adjustable strap for smaller wrists. Has static dissipative fibers around the wrist band. Coiled cord prevents entangling. Relatively cheap.

Cons: Alligator clip could be better

Other: Get it if you want a cheap wrist strap when dealing with static sensitive devices.

Pros: Nice product and easy to use

Cons: seem a little bit cheap for the purpose

Other: for 2$ you can't go wrong if you need something like this

Pros: Extremly cheap for similar product, disconnectable wire

Cons: none

Other: If you are work with ESD sensityve devices (Lasers, cmos part...etc.) is it strongly recommented.

Pros: It definitely does what it should do. easy to wrap on the wrist. price is right! very useful

Cons: I am a little worried about the rubber band getting loose as time goes on.

Other: you wont regret it.
