Steel Reuseable Matchstick Wilderness Survival Keychain

Pros: Explination of the item:
It is a small container for the "match stick". On the side there is a flint stick which you'll strike the match stick against to produce sparks. In addition to the "striker" there is a wick containing kerosene of some sort in the "match stick". This is supposed to ignite, and become the burning match.

Cons: The striker broke before I managed to produce any sparks. I.e. it never lit. I striked about 5 times before it broke.

Other: Buy one and try it, post a new review.

Pros: The device consists of a rectangular shell, with a metal rod like device that screws into the shell. One end of the rod has a wick. The case is filled with lighter fuel. To use, the rod is removed and scratched against a long flint rod installed on one side of the case. The rod's wick catches fire, and resembles a match. To extinguish, the burning rod wick can be placed into the shell, where it then absorbs more fuel for the next use.

Cons: Metal could be thicker.

Other: So cheap and useful i wish i had bought more.

Pros: . Cotton-stuffed body holds a lot of lighter fluid
. Screw-in striker cap has an O-ring to retard fluid evaporation
. Has a long flint embedded in a channel in the side, should last a good many camping trips
. Nice mini-clip to attach to keychain

Cons: No retainer for screw in/out steel striker/wick, be careful not to drop it where you can't find it!

Other: Cheap and reliable and not much to break, should last a good long time

Pros: This is a cheap novelty item no doubt. It works well and entertained my curiosity. Hint : strike it upwards so the sparks fall towards the wick. It works every time that way.

Cons: It is mostly plastic with steel accents. I would rather pay more money for something that was made of cheap aluminum and steel. But, I didn't pay all that much and shouldn't expect it for this price.

Other: Works well. It doesn't cost much. It entertains peoples curiosity. Good enough for me.

Pros: This item actually arrives with at least a bit of fuel so you immediately can use it when it arrives.
The item itself is looking pretty good and the sealing of the matchstick seems is sealing good. Actually more than you can expect for that price.

Cons: - Needs some time to learn how to use it.
- The flintstone is showing distinct signs of usage after just a few tries, but could last forever don't know yet.
- The plastic used could have been metal too.

Other: Very useful and something different than just a lighter...

Pros: it is very small. much smaller than i anticipated. would fit perfectly on a set of keys without making your keys more bulky. could definitely be used as a survival tool. very big flame once it lights up.

Cons: sadly, i dont know where to start:
extremely difficult to get a flame started. somewhat difficult to refill if your not creative. the striker bends when i strike it. there are what looks like hair thin copper wires holding the wick that are getting loose and will fall off soon. if you use lantern oil like i did, dont expect to be able to use it without getting your fingers oily. you have to strike it real hard to get sparks going.

Other: its very shiny and will work if you have the time and patience. buy it for fun?

Pros: Very neat product. Of all the cool things I own, this is the best value of any of them! The gadget is very neat.

Cons: Seal might start to leak, I had to replace mine. Keychain is pit metal and might break easily, and the flint cannot be replaced once worn out.

Other: Might be hard for some to light, but I have mastered it. A refreshing alternative to a lighter.

Pros: Works just like it should. Great spark. I use very little pressure when striking and I get a good spark and a successful light most every time.

Cons: Be careful when tightening the striker down so you don't wear out the O ring too fast. I have not had this device leak fluid yet but they all seem to--maybe this is a pro.

Other: If you want a pocket fire starter that looks cool get it!
