Pros: Very well packaged by the DX team. Extremely easy to put together.
It came with all the necessary hardware;
9 Screws - Only need 8 so the spare one is nice.
Screw Driver - It's small but it's good if you don't have any near you when you put it together.
USB Cable - 2 connectors if extra power is needed.
Cons: None
Other: This case is perfect if you have a SATA hard drive lying around an collecting dust. When I get more drives I will definitely purchase more of these cases.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: This is a simple and easy to setup metal box/enclosure for any sata 2.5 hard drive.
The very good thing of this product is that the casing is pure metal (aluminium I suppose), very light and practical.
I used for 2 of my external drives and both fitted perfectly.
It comes with a very useful double male usb cable ending with a classic mini-usb side, there are other cases that are simple male to male usb, but as you know 99% of usb cables are commonly from mini-usb to ordinary male-usb, so better having something more "standard".
Cons: The packages came without the four small screws, so I had to fix the 2 metal sides with a point of strong glue.
Other: Apart the missing screws this metal box is very light and well built.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: It's good looking, especially without logo (it's just glued).
It is fast. Read speed test shows 33 mb/sec straight line at graph.
Mini-usb connector is widely used so you can use other cables.
Y-USB cable. If you computer does not have enough power in one USB port you can connect it to second.
HDD fits perfectly in case, so there is no noise when you shake it.
Cons: Y-USB cable didn't worked when I tried to plug it in one USB port. But HDD successfully worked with my single-connector USB cable.
Other: Good looking fast HDD case.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: I was skeptical about the quality, when ordered this one, but it's definately well built. I've upgraded my laptop not long ago and after buying this I now have 250 GB external HDD for a great price :) Windows 7 recognized it without any problem. Speed is OK.
Cons: For that price - none.
Other: If you need SATA 2,5" HDD enclosure - yo can buy this with confedence.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: * Metal construction, and heaps of ventillation, keeps my little 250GB drive nice and cool!
* Easy to install your drive into this.
* Comes with a small screwdriver to install the screws.
* Comes with an imitation leather pouch.
* Informative green/red (Bi-colour) LED, to indicate on/activity.
* No drivers necessary for Linux or Windows 7.
Cons: * You can throw the instructions out, since it's Soooo easy to setup. Insert drive, install case screws, plug in to computer.
Other: * If you have a spare SATA laptop drive sitting around, why not buy one of these and put it to use?

Pros: Definitely looks good. Does exactly what it's supposed to. Actually is USB 2.0 - (I've been jibbed before on that)...
Cons: Not the easiest enclosure to open/close: requires 8 tiny screws (comes with poor quality, use-once screwdriver), not all the pre-drilled screw holes are alligned perfectly so the screws may look slightly skewed upon close inspection.
Case is definitely NOT leather, not even pleather, just some rubbery material that is sewn together pretty poorly, but who uses it anyway?
Other: It works and looks pretty darn good. If you need one, buy this one; it's cheap, but not nasty.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: It looks good and my HDD fits just fine. Olso my HDD has a little hole that reads "Do not cover", so since the metal case has many little holes I think it´s like I´m not covering it.
Cons: A little hard to put the HDD in place. I had to unscrew something, work it for a while, and then screw that thing back on. After that it worked just fine.
Other: Buy It!!! no surprises with this item.

Pros: - Very good ventilation. Holes everywhere!
- No possibility of overheating;
- Good format, my 640GB drive fits perfect;
- Good overall dimensions;
- Good dual-USB cable included;
- Screwdriver and instructions included;
- Excellent reliability;
- Probably the slimmest 2.5" USB enclosure!
- Looks great.
Cons: - Plastic protection negates ventilation of top cover. Remove it.
- Metal casing could be a little bit thicker. With no drive inside, the casing can bend easily under finger pressure. However as soon as the drive is installed, you get a solid 'brick'.
Other: Buy a few for your laptop drives. This case and its circuit are well-made, reliable and extremely useful. Highly recommended!

Pros: - Very good transfer speeds. - Disk inside stays cooled 'cause of the holes. - When ensambled seems to be very solid. - Metalic (maybe aluminium, not sure).
Cons: - Not so easy to ensamble, disks get in a little forced. - Too many tiny screws, easy to lose, hard to insert.
Other: If you want a case to assemble and disassemble many times tu use different disk then it's not for you. If you'll use it just for an unique disk is the best choice.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Very slim. Measures 12mm with my calipers.
Sleek. very minimalistic. Black metal mesh with chrome words.
It works just as well as my other external HDDs.
Ventilated. Noticeably cooler than my other ext HDDs.
Cheap, but nice looking carrying pouch.
Cons: Short cable (about .5 meter). I am reusing my Maxtor OneTouch's 1 meter cable.
Green/Red Bi-color LED. Some might like it, some might not, so I'm putting this in the con. Green is for idle, red is for busy.
Getting the 8 little screws in with the included screwdriver was harder than it should have been.
Getting the controller circuit onto the HDD SATA connector was harder than it should have been.
Other: Despite the cons, this is still an excellent product. I've used enclosures that were twice the price and weren't as high-quality or nice-looking as this one.
