Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: + In-ear (very important for noisy subway ride) + quite comfortable + strong bass, okay on treble + it does have a mic with a button to play/pause music and answer call (I may try to post a pic later)
Cons: - wire kind of short (enough to go from ear to your pants pocket, but don't expect to have a lot of slacks for extra length to go around jacket, backpack)
Other: Good buy. I like these better than the pair come with the iPhone.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: This is a cheap replacement for the original headphones that come with the iPhone (only $7). The headphones look much more expensive than they really are. Comes with another set of replacement earbuds. Pause button for ipod and mic for making phone calls. Cheaper than buying the jack adaptor for using regular standard headphones with the iPhone.
Cons: The sound quality is not that good (could have been worse though).
The wire is a bit short.
The mic with pause button is a bit too close to the earbud making it too close to your face.
Other: Get this if you need another pair of headphones for the iPhone and don't want to spend much.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: in ear canal blocks some outside noise, the right wire is longer so it goes behind the neck.
the mic comes down to where the mouth is
when calling someone it plays through both speakers
the button on mic play/pauses music
Cons: build quality feels cheap on wire and plastic
Other: good if looking for in ear canal with mic and like the wire to go behind the neck
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: -CHEAP!
-nicely designed packaging
-according to the people i spoke with, mic quality is nice, no difference with the apple one.
-does exactly the same thing as the apple iphone headphone...
Cons: -...but in a cheaper way:
-The sound quality for in-ears is disapointing, doesn't really block the sounds around you like other in-ears would.
-you can ear a very dim wind when you put these on without any music, like if you were listenning to a shellfish.
-Button quality is poor, not that much annoying to pick up or hang up when you're on the phone, but quite a pain to change music since you have to click twice on it to do so, and it's very difficult to do with theese.
Other: Buy it if you need them and like me are a cheapstake :D.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: I bought these to try them out. I really don't like sticking things in my ears but these seemed comfortable and they are. The packaging is really great for gift giving and they come with an extra pair of ear covers. The remote is simple to use. It does the same as the remote that comes with the phone. The build is very durable. I through in my bag and go. They come in other colors too. Works great with incoming calls. I had no complaints on the other end about hearing me.
Cons: Sound is very tinny. It maybe me but it sounds like I am under water. I am used to headphones that clip on the outside of the ear so it maybe just me. I wish they had a volume control.
Other: Great price and a descent replacement in case you need a backup but sound could be much better.

Pros: Mic works with Iphone 3G as advertised, and songs can be stopped and skipped to next song (double click). Blocks out outside noise pretty well, good enough Bass.
Cons: Sounds a little muffled, but I haven't been using these "in-ear" type long enough, maybe its supposed to be like that. also, the silicon replacement cap came ripped, and its a bit tough to put it on.
Other: Be warned, this earphone is "J-type" over the neck. (which i actually prefer J type over the Y-type earphones)
But if you are looking for Y-type earphones, this isn't for you.

Pros: Cheap.
Gives you headphones and mic so it will work with iPhone.
Cons: Sound quality isn't very good.
Build quality is weak.
Other: I gave these as a gift to a friend. They were happy with them, though I was disappointed with the sound quality. The biggest disappointment was when the iphone was dropped and pulled the headphones out, it broke one of the headphones. This should not have broken the headphone. So the build quality is on the cheap side. But you pay for what you get.
