Stylish Portable USB Powered Laptop/PC Speaker (USB Jack)

Pros: - the speaker is very nice. - you just have to plug into usb port and it works. I've tested with windows vista and linux ubuntu. Both of them recognized the speaker and it worked without any problem. - The size is very good and it can be carried to anywhere. - it has a good magnetic isolation and doesn't create interference with the screen.

Cons: - if you greatly increased the volume, the sound of the speaker distorts. - no more cons.

Other: it's a good speaker to workaround laptop's speakers, but you can't give a party with it. summing up, it's this item is just OK. Don't expect too much of it.

Pros: - Good sound quality. - Built very good. Looks expensive. - Good bass. - Good treble. - Very compact. - No batteries. - The shape is great for placing it on the laptop without interfering with the image on the screen.

Cons: - Could be just a bit cheaper.

Other: A very good and useful speaker. The fact that it connects to the laptop with only one USB cable for both sound output and power makes it perfect for carrying it together with your laptop. Could be a bit cheaper, and the delivery takes AGES, but all in all, a good product.

Pros: This is a very slim and stylish speaker. Fits perfectly well with a black lap top. It hardly takes any space if put upright. Horizontally, it can go on top of the keyboard without disturbing anything or obstructing the screen. It sounds a lot better than my lap top in-built speakers.

Cons: Not for throwing parties, obviously, but nice to listen to music or watch a video. The cable could be a bit longer.

Other: Simple and easy to use. I would recommend it. But don't expect it to do miracles. It is clearly for personal use only.

Pros: I use this daily listening to eBooks on MP3. It really is a great little boom box type of speaker. It improves the sound quality of my laptop speakers by 10 fold. I highly recommend it and will be purchasing a second one for my other laptop. I also like the rubber stand that comes with it. You can lay the speaker horizontal or vertical.

Cons: It would be nice if the cable was about bouble what it is. It works fine, but if it was longer, I could use one for the sound on my desktop, the sound is that good.

Other: If you are looking for a very portable sound stick, I recommend this one.

Pros: It was plug and play for Windows 7 Pro. Packs quite a punch for it's size. Fills an average room nicely. It is small, which makes it portable (and discrete for those that worry about it's appearance). Comes with a stand so it can be rested horizontally or vertically.

Cons: Varying the volume is not linear, most of the control is at the lower end of the scale.

Other: I'm happy with it, does what I want to use it for. Maybe an audiofile might be picky about the sound quality at various ranges.

Pros: - Awesome sound quality! Never had this kind of quality on a portable speaker before. Really loud without distortion. - When talking about this caliber speakers I don't like to use the term 'bass'. The higher frequencies are often fine. The lower frequencies however are really hard to come by. Portable speakers rarely have those. This one has a lot! I even dare say it matches the quality of the average desktop PC speakers. - Instant sound when plugged in. - Very compact.

Cons: I would pay double if it had the option to connect by mini jack and a usb-rechargeable battery inside, so I could also use it for my phone. I only know I would pay double after I got it, since I never would have believed this kind of sound quality was possible on such a tiny thing.

Other: When buying at DX I scan everything and read a lot of reviews. Let me save you the trouble, if your looking for enhanced sound quality on your laptop or just some PC speaker and don't want to pay $60, stop searching: buy this one.

Pros: Very usefull gadget for laptop computer. I was suprised how much sound is squized out of this small speaker box. The casing look very solid and sturdy. Quite small for take along. Simple plug & play design.

Cons: I miss some kind of handles for mouting on top of laptop screen.

Other: I reccommend the gadget for movies and music. Of course this is not a HiFi device but there is huge improvement in sound volume and quality comparing IBM Lenovo R61 integrated laptop speakers.

Pros: It is a very good improvement over most built-in laptop speakers. It is ideal for travel to use when gaming, listening to music, or watching a video. Plug & Play, it automatically installs when you connect it to the USB port. Very well made, looks & feels like a quality product.

Cons: Don't have expectations that it will blow you out of the room output-wise, it won't. It plays louder and sounds fuller than the built-in speakers by a wide margin but that will not be as much as most multimedia separate speaker sets. On heavy bass it gets muddy sounding and you must reduce the volume level. On some music it can also sound shrill. That is a function of how loud you are playing it as well.

Other: I like it. It is very good when kept within its range of clean operation. Not so good when it is outside that.

Pros: Small,good sound,easy to use, cheap, well made. Looks sturdy enough to be toted around with a laptop. The sound is better than my 3" speaker set.

Cons: none that have shown up yet

Other: You will be happy with this speaker, unless, of course, you need Bose quality. It is, after all, only 8 inches long.
