What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Pros: This is an excellent product - comparable to US$100 ones I have seen in South Africa. Remote works fine with included software. See my pics!
Cons: None!
Other: If you have a tv/projector in your living room and a pc, GET ONE OF THESE!!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Good price, retractable usb cable.
Cons: Only works with cyberlink software. No windows media player, winamp, itunes, etc support.
Other: Don't buy it unless you plan to use cyberlink software. I don't so I got rid of it.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Cheap. Successfully controls the volume on my Win2k computer without drivers.
Cons: Cyberlink installs under XP only. McAfee claims some of the software is full of AdWare.
Other: Two thumbs down.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Works without drivers on Vista. It act as a keyboard, every button correspond to keybord entry. For exemple, arrows are arrows keys, and play is ctrl-p. So you have to configure your player with theses shortuts - I use it with Media player classic and MPCHC with a keys reconfiguration, and it's very usefull. - IR range is good, you don't have to aim exactly on the receiver.
Cons: I don't know if you can remap keys for using player with wich you cannont change keys.
Other: Small and usefull remote with a good IR range. I like it !
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Works well, good range, works as suposed.
Cons: The software provided is ILLEGAL! In a subfolder of the cd you find a .nzb file, when you open this with notepad you can read this is a ripped version. You get a serial number togheter with your remote (for only 12 USD) while PowerCinema 4 (Oem) will cost you 25 USD...
It's not a problem for me, but it's not very neat.
Other: Nice remote.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Works with basic function in windows xp. The arrows move the highlighted area, and enter selects. Volume changes the system volume easily. Chanel moves from left to right balance.
Cons: Comes with pirated software.
The buttons are not assignable with the software included. I couldn't find an app online to do this, but that's not to say there isn't a 3rd party app capable of mapping the buttons.
Buttons arn't very smooth when pressed. They kind of 'Clunk'.
Other: Cheap and works with basic function. If you buy it and don't like it, it's not a big loss.

Pros: I have been searching for something like this, and behold...DX had it!
~IR range is pretty good
~Works well with Windows XP
~Retractable USB/IR receiver so that you can position it within range of the remote.
~Great concept and very clever product
~Like everything else I buy from DX...PRICE is good!
Cons: ~Keys are not mappable and only works with the bundled software that it came with.
~Packaging of mine was poor, it came in a very thin and little sandwich bag type plastic. No box.
~Not easy to use out of the box, you have to figure out which buttons are for which.
~Manual is hard to understand.
~Quality of the remote is not the best but its okay.
Other: For the price, I have no regrets!

Pros: - Its compact, well designed and lightweithg.
- Retractable USB Cable
- Good Range of IR
...................................................................................................................
Cons: - The retractable USB cable isnot so long, so i had to use another USB cable to connect it.
- I dont know how to remap the keys, so nowadays its useless for me.
............................................................................................
Other: - Its a cheap USB remote, but if you cant remap the keys, you have to find a software that works with the default hotkeys provided in the remote.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - No drivers needed.
- No additional software needed.
- Computer sees the remote as a "keyboard".
- Decent built quality for the price.
- Battery included.
Cons: - One of the buttons on my remote gets stuck occasionally.
- The "MEDIA CENTER" and "SHUTDOWN" buttons are not key strokes like the rest of the buttons.
- The key press events do not repeat if you hold the buttons down (except for the volume buttons). This is frustrating especially with the direction keys (Up, Down, Left, Right).
Other: This is a very good PC-remote for it's price. You can use it in any program that has customizable keyboard shortcuts. And ofcourse you can easilly cath the keypress events in your favorite programming environment, since the buttons simulate a normal keyboard.
You might also want to check out the picture is posted about the buttons' keycodes.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: -Very small and light, but not to small. You can use it without pushing 2 buttons at the same time.
-40 buttons, 38 are programmable, 2 are fixed (the Mediacenter and Turn-Off button)
-Battery included (CR2025)
-Cheap, most proper remotes start at ~$20
-USB, pretty usefull, because modern motherboards don't have a serial connector.
-IR Range is pretty good. (I can reach 5m if aimed well)
Cons: -The cable from the usb-connector to the reciever is very thin and fragile
-Buttons are not mapable, the PC sees them as a key-combo, for example: the play button is crtl-shift-p
-The software at the CD is pretty useless and it's illegal.
-Manual is pretty useless, not much relevant information in it.
Other: Looking for a cheap, controlled mediacenter? Buy this remote and download Mediaportal.
