  • Great little Wifi usb adapter.

Pros: Very nice small wifi usb dongle. Buid quality can be better. Plastic seems fragile. Very fast delivery time (9 days to Croatia). Connects well indor and outdoor (200 meters from 2nd floor appartment). Drivers needed for WinXP witch are provided on CD. I didn't measure speed because my acess point is only capable of 54 Mbps. No diference in speed when on wired connection. It uses realtek chip.

Cons: Maybe little to hot when working.

Other: Recomended to everyone with laptops without Wifi.

  • Works well, but could be better

Pros: Very small and slim. Drivers come on the CD included in the package. Works on 802.11 B/G/N perfectly.

Cons: Sometimes the connection drops, which is unfortunate. I do not know if it is yet the adapter or my bad access point. Other than that, there are none.

Other: This is a great buy. I am happy with it, and would recommend to anyone who is in need of a cheap wireless adapter. At other stores, the cheapest adapter I could find was over $25, and it didn't even work!

  • Great piece if you lack Wlan on your PC/Laptop

    posted by ws1ws1 on 08:09:34 G9T 11/09/2010 certificated customer

    Pros: It is very small.
    It works well.
I have tested it in Ubuntu Linux. It was not easy to get to work. You have to use ndiswrapper. There you have to choose the WinXP (!) driver (the .inf-file) from the CD that comes with the Card. Then you restart the computer and normally it should work by then (just connect to the Wlan network afterwards).

Cons: Sometimes it drops the connection.

Other: If you have a problem with your laptops Wlan or if you don't have Wlan at your PC as was the case with mine it is rather useful.
Don't ask to much of it (e.g. just use it for internet not for intranet) and you will find it a useful tool for a good price.

  • Small, but works well!!!

Pros: It really works well. The chipset of this adapter is Realtek and there is a easy-to-install driver for Linux (I use Debian 4). I liked it very much! My use from wireless router is about 10 meters and the signal is perfect.

Cons: Nothing so far. I have used it at home only and there's only one obstacle between the router and the computer. The driver works very well, but I only tested it on Linux (I believe that Windows Vista / 7 have native drivers for Realtek WLAN adapters).

Other: I really recommend this adapter. All that I said above I'd repeat many times and I intend to buy more units of it, I tell to my friends about it and they want to buy it too! The bad thing is that I have only to pay by PayPal or an international credit card.

Pros: The price was okay. I could find 802.11n USB for around this price locally. Drivers were simple and easy to install and required a quick restart. Wireless looked phenomenal. I haven't compared it to any other wireless PC's around the house yet. Somewhat small.

Cons: This runs pretty hot! It's hotter than anything on my laptop. This could be a problem later on, per say it may run slower in the long run? Very small and may fall off if you bump your hand or into something with it.

Other: Get it if you think the size is just for you. Make sure it's secure in place if you do because this might fall off without your notice.

Pros: Cheap Reliable Relatively fast Small

Cons: "Squeaky" build quality (not that it will ever matter)

Other: I can't believe how well this works for the size and price of it. If you need a USB -> WLAN adaptor, I can whole-heartedly recommend this thing.

  • Works flawlessly on a Mac.

Pros: - Excellent antenna. I meant to buy this item for my old macbook with a damaged wireless card. This catches signal even better than the original stock wireless card on macbooks. - Mac driver is easy to install.

Cons: - Plastic feels cheap, but it's alright for the price. - The driver cd is a mini-cd so you cannot directly put it on a Mac (because mac's have slide-in optical drives) but you can get over it by transferring the driver to a flashdisk on a pc with a normal optical drive.

    Other: It's a "must buy".

  • Small and hot wireless adapter.

posted by Chivel on 10:27:47 G12T 28/12/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: - Small. - Good price. - Easy to install, Windows 7 64bits installed it automatically.

Cons: - Runs hot, at the point to shut off after 30min of usage in a 30°C ambient, which I have in my house. - Shut off with a load of 15mbps or more, probably because of the over heat. - Small range. I couldn pass 1 wall, the AP must be in the same room.

Other: Cheap and small adapter, not made for intranets, but for internet is great.

Pros: - Works out of the box on many OS (Win 2000, XP, Vista, Ubuntu 10.10) - Windows 7 had to do a bit of soul searching to agree with the drivers ;) - Small - Solid - Superb performance even with 24/7 useage. - Impressive that this little puppy handles all the major wi-fi bands and not just b/g.

Cons: - No real cons, a couple of observations others might find useful... - It does heat up a bit as some have said. I haven't seen any performance or longevity issues form this, but if you are using on a small portable device it would indicate that it is going to consume battery life a fair bit. - Easy to lose because it is so tiny perhaps?

Other: Everyone has different experiences with products I guess. Both of the devices I have received are very solid and I even stepped on one of them accidentally and it still works! After having one of them 6 months and the other 5 months I have recommended them to everyone I know and will be buying more anytime I need a USB wi-fi device.

Pros: It's not big, wireless woks fine and is a very usefull product with a low price! My little cousing can use an old notebook over all the house, that's kinda big! I can even find it easy in my country, and this one has a good price and work very fine.

Cons: Design Could be better, so it wouldn't be a problem being a external device.

Other: Just buy it if you need wireless Just buy it if you need wireless Just buy it if you need wireless
