Cons: - Magnifying lens is made of plastic; with a diameter of around 1.3cm. It is not well made and don't expect to start a fire with it
- Whistle is quite soft
- Covered with some yellow dust when received
- Thermometer is glued and slightly slanted to the left, but can be easily fixed by removing the transparent cover and position it correctly
- A bit thicker than I expected

Other: This is not suitable to be used as a survival whistle due to the shortcomings, but it is still useful as the compass and thermometer are quite accurate. Bring it along in your next trip to know the temperature and your direction.

Pros: Fluid filled compass is accurate. The thermometer is a nice little feature even though it only gives you a rough temperature range.

Cons: The whistle is quite useless as it produces very little sound. Should you be stuck in the middle of nowhere, shout with your mouth. Forget the whistle. Nobody will hear you.

Other: Carry this with you at all times. You never know when you may get stuck in a whiteout blizzard and must hike your way to the nearest civilization. Then you may end up featured in the "I shouln't be alive " TV program.
