Survival Whistle with Compass Thermometer and Magnifier (OEM)

Pros: NOT easy to lose has a number of things you need while out hiking, biking, etc. Safety whistle is comforting when hiking or caching alone.

Cons: plastic can break with heavy enough impact, but I haven't broken it yet.

Other: Good price, good item

Pros: Nice multi purpose whistle. Works well.

Cons: Rattles quite a bit, and I think it is a bit too thick. Would be a bit bulky hanging from a backpack zipper and is almost too big for a keychain.

Other: Buy it, blow it, bring it with you everywhere (so you don't get lost).

Pros: Decent build quality. The thermometer on mine is surprisingly accurate. Compass is decent enough, when it's freely turning.

Cons: Not as loud as another bonafide survival whistle I own, and requires more breath/effort... though it's still loud enough. Compass sometimes sticks, and you have to give it a few taps to get it going again. Plastic magnifying "glass" is all but useless to me--it's way too small to start fires (with sunlight). Overall, a little thicker than it should be, IMO.

Other: A nice add-on to any zipper.

Pros: Many useful functions for such a small thing!

Cons: As mentioned before, the magnifying glass isnt all that useful since it's too small to start a fire with.

Other: Great little gadget that's very useful, and at that price you can't go wrong! Everyone should have one when out in the woods!!

Pros: Compass works ok, whistle works ok, magnifier works ok (although I have not tried starting fires with it), thermometer works ok

Cons: Thermometer no longer sticks to the side in the whistle. It just rattles around in there although it still works

Other: Good to have on camping trips. Its small size and multiple features means it will take up very little space

Pros: Everything on this item works, just not very well. The whistle isnt that loud and takes a considerable effort to get going.
The thermometer is difficult to read and not that accurate.
The magnifying glass is plastic and pretty much useless.
The compass, if held at the wrong angle and not perfectly level, will not work properly.
But its cheap. So as long ass you are not using this for expert hiking, but more a general use it is fine.

Other: This is a good buy, I suggest everyone should have a whistle on their keychain. Stores are selling this item at around $5, DX $2 shipped. Guess it says it all!

Pros: + Cheap.
+ Compact and lightweight so can be a EDC whistle.
+ Has built-in thermometer - both Celsius and Fahrenheit.
+ Has built-in magnifying lens.

Cons: - Whistle is not enoughly loud.
- Built-in fluid compass is just a toy and nothing more!!! It shows everything such as weather on Mars but not the magnetic meridian.
- Built-in magnifying lens is a cheap plastic which is not scratch-proof so scratches would ruin it easily.
- Built-in magnifying lens gives awful barrel-like optical distortion.

Other: Think well - do you need so silent whistle with built-in useless compass-like toy...

Pros: *Cheap. *Easy to use. *Offers 4 tools in 1device. *Lightweight.

Cons: *Sometimes the whistle is quite. *Other than that this is a great tool.
