Pros: I put "5" to price rating, because of free shipping. it's cheap, full analog of HTX900, no any differents.
Accuracy is also ok. Some people on hobbycity.com wrote, that it's not ok, but I just tested it - works fine.
Ease of use - put "5", no comments, who knows, that understands.
Build quality is ecxellent, I didn't find any design errors.
Yes, gear is from plastic, but it's not design error. It's compromise between weight and reliability.
    Usefullnes - no comments.

Cons: The servo wire could be longer, but if You need this, You can buy extension wire.

Other: For the parkflyers - these servos are ideal I think.

  • Great Servo

Pros: Great micro servo, impressive price. The servos are lightweight, and they seen to be well-built too.
The provided accessories makes it good to lots of applications.
    There are mounting screws too.

Cons: They seen to dislike human contact, but it may be a signal noise issue. As it can be seen on my video, they go nuts when someone is handling while its on.

Other: I can't see no reason to not get these cheap and useful servos. Go for it, should do the job!

Pros: It can satisfy most of the users with its quality. I tried it with my 1/16 scale buggy receiver and it worked without a problem.
For an information, its size and rotor diameter is a little larger than E_Sky EK2-0508 8G Digital Servo (sku.15233). I bought them together and this one suited to my buggy.

Cons: It comes with a nylon bag. I would prefer better packaging. Not another con at this time.

Other: Nothing. It was hard to decide for me to buy this one or that; http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.20087 servo. I will try it later too.

  • Perfect little servo for all your micro/mini model

posted by DragonPhyre on 09:47:13 G6T 01/06/2009 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: + Oh so cheap! Buy 5 as the bulkrate makes it the same price as if you bought 4
+ Clear lets you know if a gear is broken later on.
+ Blue is a classy color, but if you don't like it you can paint over it to make it whatever color you like.
+ Included control horns and screws are useful too.
+ Length on the servo wire is above average for a micro servo.
+ Very fast, with very little overshoot. I would say they are at least as fast as any other non-brushless servo.

Cons: - Was very oily out of the bag
    - One of them had no grease inside the gears.

Other: Buy it if you need a little servo for a micro or mini model you have. I am going to make a Mugi out of these.

  • Fast, fairly precise, ideal for low torque apps.

posted by Parrotile on 01:06:46 G1T 10/01/2010 certificated customer

Pros: These are OH SO CHEAP!! I was expecting problems, but they seem to run just fine! REALLY good for high speed, low torque, high precision purposes - e.g. throttle control. Come with a good range of Acetal horns, and will take most after market Servo horn sets.

Cons: A little missing in the grease department...!! Also like the MG995 these benefit from some extra wire anchoring with hot melt glue, and light oil on the gear shafts. The acetal gears are OK with white lithium, or fishing reel grease.

Other: Provided you are prepared to check and maybe adjust / modify / lubricate before use (and it you fly RC you should be doing this no matter whose servos you use!) these will provide the performance required, for LIGHT to MEDIUM torque applications. A definite GOOD BUY!

    Cons: None really.

Other: These are a good deal.

Pros: cheap and good servo. all the servo swapping i used to do before has come to and end. whenever i build something new i just brake out a new set of servos leawing all my models serviceable.

Cons: none so far, they work fine for me.

Other: this goes into all my depron builds. i would hesitate a bit before putting it into my trex 450, after all its just a 5 dollar servo. it is probably no reason for it but in my trex i want to be shure. better safe than sorry...

  • Great small servo

posted by frogofrogo on 04:47:03 G4T 22/04/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: This servo is pretty small, it works well, the rotating angle could be greater, but it is OK in comparision to other servos. the cable length is appoximately 20cm, so it is long enough for many applications. I think the cable should be better secured against the evulsion. The price is also good, but I think it could be cheaper. The power is strong enough. I am going to use this servo in my wooden ship model to drive the helm.

Cons: The gearing could be metalic, not plastic. That is all...

Other: Small servo for small models.

  • Great for small projects

posted by WRonX on 07:17:30 G5T 21/05/2010 certificated customer

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

Pros: Servo is very small and it's weight is quite small. Excellent for small electronics/modelling projects. Also, I've had no problems with connecting it to a microcontroller.

Cons: There are two problems. First - it could be stronger. But for that price and that size/weight it's enough. Second: it won't do 180 degrees, mine does about 170 degrees. I'll wait for another and check it out.

Other: If you plan to make some experiments (for example with Arduino), it's a good thing to start with. 5V servo, no additional power needed.
