  • Fine router, but may come as V6 which is 450Mb, and Chinese only firmware

    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: Earlier versions are supported by DD-WRT and openwrt. Latest version is 450Mb

    Cons: Version 6 - if that is what you end up getting, is NOT yet supported by opensource firmware. And near as I can tell the only firmware available so far (4/22/2013) is Chinese language only. However, the router interface URLs are still in English (so if you hover over the links you can usually tell where they lead). And furthermore the setup is aligned pretty well with how the English manual reads (find it online). So you can make this thing work.

    Other: If you are willing to struggle through a little problem solving, and have intermediate technical knowledge this is a pretty good deal.
