What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Exactly as per the picture, seems to be well made (cheap, but sturdy enough considering the price). Comes in a nice box with multiple paper 'reeds' (the part which presumably makes the sound).
Cons: Can't use it! Doesn't come with instructions, so there is no way to work out how to 'set it up'. This info would at least be useful in the product description, even just a single line of what to do in order to use it.
Other: Overall it seems like it would be nice - basic, but nice enough. The lack of instructions for a non-musical person (like me) is a deal breaker though - I don't know what to do with the paper 'reed', so I can't use (or give as a gift) this flute! Bummer!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Great price - Nice vintage oriental gift box, looks classy even if damaged - Louder than I thought it would be (a con in the wrong hands!) - Pretty easy to play - Looks handmade (says it is) - Something different
Cons: - No instructions - Feels unfinished - Sound isn't on key - Can annoy friends (can be pro)
Other: Says "F-Key", should say "off key-F".
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: -Cheap! -Surprisingly well tuned -Unique sound(opposed to western flutes)
Cons: -I had no idea how to use it for 1,5 years(no instructions!) Price wise, I can't think of any other cons
Other: I love this flute now. I'm a happy amateur who just likes to sit and play random stuff, but I really like the sound of this flute. If you don't want to use the diaphragm(it can be a bit of a hassle to get it to work sometimes), you can simply cover the hole with a piece of tape. I hoped I helped somebody with this review!
