True Green Laser Pen 5mW

Pros: I have to give this laser top marks! Its great! The beam is 100% visible at night -- its really bright. If you have never seen another green laser, you will be really impressed. i cannot see any reason at all to get a more powerful one. The case is like a felt grey pen case, and laser is a heavy black metal. both are good quality and feel well built. It even comes with batteries. Do not bother paying any more. this is the safest, its the cheapest and if all you want is solid pure green beam that can touch the moon. this is the one to get.

Cons: So far none.

Other: The bottom line is... Why pay $99 for a 25mw laser from "wi*ked laser", when you can get one on here for $20 shipped, and have just as much fun.

Pros: the price and the fact that i can "touch" the stars

Pros: I received this fantastic unit last week and I've been using it every day since. I decided on the 5mW one, since my son, who is only 7 is really interested in them. I obviously would have preferred something that could burn, but that's not realistic with children... This is my first greenie after having owned many red lasers in the < 5mW class. In terms of visibility, this is a huge step up. At night time, the beam is clearly visible and seems to go on an on. I can clearly illuminate places over a mile away. The quality of the beam is pretty good too. Much better than I was expecting. It's nicely focussed, uniform in shape and symetrical. Battery life is very good too. I've been using it for around 3-4 days on the original set of AAA alkalines. The finish of the unit is good. It's made in sturdy aluminium, coated in black rubber. It also comes in a nice display case. This item really is suitable as a gift.

Cons: I've been going easy on the button, since the other reviews I've read have identified this as a weak-spot. I think in the few days I've been using it, a little play has been introduced into the button. I don't know if this is just breaking it in, or if the play will become progressively worse. But for around £11 delivered from Hong Kong, it's not something I'm worried about. I'm just enjoying it's bounteous 532nm glow while I can!

Other: A great introduction to greenies. Yeah, wicked lasers are amazing, well built and in a different class, but if you just want to have a bit of fun with a green laser you should have no hesitation in buying one of these. They really are great.

Pros: Really sweet laser. Nice and bright and everything aside from the button feels really sturdy.

Cons: Button feels a bit flimsy and the beam isnt as clean as more expensive green lasers, but that is expected.

Other: For this price, this laser cant be beat!

Cons: -Bad, but acceptable IR filter -No safety gear -Not very sleek

Other: One of the best deals for a 5mW laser, but make sure you do your research first, maybe purchase safety goggles or a better IR filter.

Pros: Good strong beam amazed at only 5mw takes AA cells & I have rechargeables for it. Nice case.

Cons: none really except case had biro mark on it. duh!

Other: This is a great laser for this price. More information of the IR filter needed, atleast do your research with google about how to use these safely.

Pros: * super gadget, very 'geek':) * bright beem, the red laserpointers are nothing compared to this laser

Cons: * is not equipped with an IR filter so very dangerous for the eyes: dont let kids play with this one! * button to operate is a little loose, doesnt feel very solid

Cons: my laser starts off really bright but after 2 seconds the laser is around half as bright is this normal. ?

Cons: -Batteries don't last a really long time, at least when its new and you cant stop playing with it. -No IR filter so you don't want to get the beam in your eyes

Other: Overall this was an amazing buy at under 20 dollars, They might be higher quality from some other places but who wants to pay over 100 dollars for just the 5mw. If you just want to have a green laser to experiment with its a great deal.
