Pros: Really bright. It is brighter than my 360 lumen Life Gear far above even the middle mode.
Cons: I let it run for 15 minutes on high mode, it became really hot,I could not hold it with bare hand. The light is a little yellow compared to my Lift Gear 360 lumens.
Other: It is okay for the money. I pay $80 included 2x18650 batteries and charger. Charger came apart, need to glue. What do you expect item from China?

Pros: + Looks pretty good in its dark grey finish. The design reminds me personaly a little bit of some lights from Jetbeam.
+ interior construction: LED and driver are placed in a really big pill made of brass which is screwed into the head of the light. Because of the size and high number of threads the heat transfer between pill and body of the light should be pretty good ... at least a lot better than in other XY-fire lights.
+ build quality is o.k. There are some edges which are little bit sharp and the lettering on the side is a bit off, but´s fine overall.
+ beam quality: nice and even hotspot. There are some artifacts in the beam right outside the hotspot, but I can live with that.
Cons: - quality in general: I got my light, tested it and got 2.2 amps measured at the tailcap. Later on with different 18650s I got only 1.8 amps. Well, I thought that maybe the second set (which was charged at 80% too) had a higher internal resistance. Some minutes later I can only get 1.2 amps no matter what (fine) batteries I use ... even if I directly contact the contacts at the pill with a bench power supply @ 8.4 volts. Compared to a Jetbeam M1X (gen 1), which has 500 lumen at max, my Trustfire ST-50 is clearly less bright now. I guess the driver went south ;)
- length of the battery tube: Trustfire should have made it about 3-5 mm longer, because with the usual protected 18650 (as the batteries supplied with the light) all spring are compressed to the end the batteries are on the verge to get crushed.
Other: The Trustfire ST-50 has a nice design and almost all the features for being a really good light worth its price. But I can´t recommend it because of the quality issues. My light doesn´t seems to be the only faulty one, check the other feedback here ...
My bottomline: I got a nice SST-50 host. I will replace the crappy driver with something better and get a decent light sometime in the future.
If your fine with the possible need to send the light back or are able to use it for a modding job, then get this light ... otherwise ... you know ;)

Pros: Very bright on high mode, good machining, heavy heatsink, heavy brass pill, good finishing... and did i mention very impressive looking flashlight...
Cons: gets very hot on high mode, even on mid... might be a HP-FET in the driver, which is not very effective... by far no 1300 Lumens... I think iz has something between 700 and 800 Lumens out of the front...
Other: Keep in mind to buy some 18650 batteries whith low inner resistance because in high mode cheap 18650 will give up after 10 minutes...
Brighter then SSC-P7 flashlights, should be sent whithout charger, box and batteries (which makes it interesting for the customs) for a much lower price...

Pros: I was really impressed, trust me ,the pictures here at DX don´t give proper credit, this flashlight is very beautiful and well made, and the best thing is ,throws very nice,I have others SST-50s with one 18650 batt and some P7s,they pale in comparison with this torch, the batteries and charger that came in the box are fine, they worked as advertised, for me were very welcome, cause batteries are always useful.the construction is very good and the anodizing is very nice (no scratches at all).
I use it in my job and I´m very pleased,it is certainly my favorite torch.
Cons: As already said...gets very hot in high mode,I use it for around 10 minutes in high, and gets very hot,I´m not pushing it to much cause I love how it works and I´m afraid to fry the led or the driver, also I don´t like neither the SOS and the strobe modes, for me are useless,I wish this one only with the 3 mode,
Other: You wont regret this buy,it is a very useful torch and for the price You can't find anything better

Pros: It is made in durable material, with good paint and good print logos. The body is made of aluminum with cooling fins that actually help dissipate the heat coming from the main unit (LED). The LED is really bright, impossible to look directly at him when lit. In high mode, the beam can be seen at night with ease, and easily lights up objects (houses and yards) to 600 feet away. In medium mode, serves to illuminate average distances without needing the full range, which helps save battery power and keep the flashlight in milder temperatures. Lowest mode, the lantern is like a normal flashlight, purchased in ordinary shops. The battery definitely lasts longer, which can be useful when you need light at short distances around 90 or 120 feet or internal lighting. The strobe mode is quite interesting. I could not calculate exactly, but I think they are about 8 flashes per second. The SOS mode actually works, but for me, is not very useful, unless one day I need to use it. :-) The memory function also works correctly, except the strobe that sometimes is triggered again next mode (SOS).
Cons: Heating ... The flashlight could be less hot in high mode. I do not know to what extent this can be harmful to internal circuitry. However, for high light scattered by led, I believe that the warming is normal, presumed by the manufacturer. The box arrived a little worn, as if the product has already been stored for a long time. However, I believe this may be due to transport. Aquecimento... A lanterna poderia ficar menos quente no modo alto.
Other: If you want a small flashlight, sturdy and with great efficiency, buy this. I have no parameters to compare it with other tactical flashlights, but close to all the flashlights I've ever bought in ordinary shops, this is incomparably better.

Pros: - Fairly decent build quality...anodization quality could use some work (i.e. some flecks of aluminum showing). - LED is thermal pasted (what some might consider somewhat excessively) to the heavy brass pill.
Cons: - LED is ever so slightly off-center...definitely user fixable as the LED is screwed in. It'd probably be a MASSIVE pain to fix the fraction of a millimeter it is off by though. - O-Rings are not "tight". I *think* (and I emphasize "I THINK" cause I'm not an expert/haven't seen a lot of other lights), that the O-Rings aren't quite "thick" enough to cause a nice tight seal. I might try picking up some other ones to test it out. - Minor inclusions/irregularities at transition between hot spot and "cool" area flood. Not bad enough to whine about though.
Other: Good light. I bought some "flame label" (why would someone put flames on a battery label...not exactly confidence inspiring!) Trustfire batteries to use with it which are apparently the best batteries on DX. I'll do some further testing to measure current draw and the like.

Pros: This comes in a nice box, nice padding, complete with batteries & charger. It would make a nice a nice looking gift. Very bright! Not a good idea to look directly into the light. Good throw, projects a nice diffuse spot. Lights up the trees almost like day at 200 feet. Even the low setting is a very functional light.
Cons: Not really a con, but it does get warm on high.
Other: No regrets. Very nice flashlight. I would but it again if this one gets lost.

Pros: EXTREMELY bright high beam. Small enough to carry on your belt. Rugged Construction Re-chargeable Ion-Lithium Batteries.
Cons: If this baby could FOCUS it's beam, then it would be truly AWESOME, instead of just outstanding. No belt holster provided. SHAME! The charger is USELESS in Australia! Lucky I had an appropriate charger from another Trustfire! LIFT YOUR GAME PLEASE!
Other: It is literally the best torch I've ever had, I would love to see Trustfire top this model. Whatever it will be, I'll be buying it!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Very good build quality it seems - Excellent heat sink to prevent the LED from oveheating, Blows my Magliht out of the water and rips it to shreads. The memory works well - Everytime I turn it on, it gies ack to the mode I had it on last. I REALLY like that! The first mode I always used is bright when I was doing car stops and takedowns, and it must always come up in that mode. The other modes, such as strobe, are good for tactical entry. Likewise, when I turn it on, it must go into that mode the first time, Unlike my AUrora P7 - When I was patrolling with a P7, it was like playing roller roulette trying to get it to go into the right mode as I walked upon the car I had just stopped. I've only tried it with Li-Ion cells so far. In heavy duty applications, I will be changing it to the safer LiPoSO4 cells to prevent explosions that sometimes happen when Ll-Ion cells get shot or severely dented. Heavy and perhaps durable enough to be used as a short baton. similar to the way a Maglight can be used,
Cons: No cons at all, so far - more heavy than a tactical light, but for the power I'll take it! I always carry a couple of spare tactical lights anyway, so I'm not overly concerned if this light malfunctions - But it hasn't so far.
Other: Looks very good all the way around. It could use some thicker cells just so the body dismater matched the MagLite, but I love the Li rechargables. I can keep charhed Li-Ion around for weeks and depend on them, whereas even the new lo-discharge NiMH betteries that MagLite uses will drain pretty fast in the heat even with the switch turned off. The Li-Ion's used in this flashlight don't have nearly the self-discharge rate, so they are much more dependable.

Pros: Illuminates a very white light. Focuses too much light. It has a reflector and an excellent heat sink. The finish is very good. Comes in an ideal case for a gift.
Cons: I can not say anything against this wonderful lantern. Maybe you could say against the weight if you take a long time can be uncomfortable.
Other: All my friends were surprised as white light and power of the flashlight. Everyone asked me where to buy it.
