Pros: This charger has a sturdy stucture & charges batteries in about 4 hours round trip from battery shut off to charger shut off in the left hand slot. It cuts off on the dot of 4.08v
Cons: The right hand slot seems to keep charging batteries even after the other channel indicates the same battery was charged. however even after another 2 hours of charge it still only gets 4.11 however the red led is still showing as charging.
Other: well useable but needs looking at by the maker to render the claims they make about it truthful
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: I received it few weeks ago, and today (22.03.2009) I tested. It seems that has been fixed over-charging problem with the right slot. not necessary to add 2 x 4V3 zener diodes to limit charging over 4.2V! Now is working by default!
1st: 2 x 10440 Li-Ion accu partially charged (at 3.7 and 3.8V). I measured charging current and is 27-30mA on booth slots. When charging leds are RED. After 1.5H, booth leds become GREEN. I measured voltage and booth 10440! Now, have 4.2V! Super ok!
2nd: 2 x 14500 Li-Ion accu partially charged (at 3.7V booth). I measured charging current and is 65-68mA on booth slots. When charging leds are RED. After 3H, booth leds become GREEN. I measured again voltage and booth we have 4.2V! Super ok!
Cons: Not really a cons. I observed that metal spangles which holds battery are to flexible. In some circumstances may be ok, but in general, not! They should be a little sturdy/rigid! When you are inserting cells, spangles can be deformed!
Other: Buy it! Now, is ok!

Pros: When it arrived I said: "voila!!!". Pretty package: transparent bag with "buttons" to open and close it. Very nice! It has HIGH quality plastics, it smells very good, no flaws in desing, no flaws in manufacturing. Fits 10440, RCR123A, 16340, 14500, 17500, 18500, 18650, 18670 even 26670 batteries. (more sizes too, but only Li-ion chemistry) Two independent channels which stops charging at 4.20 volts exactly (almost in my unit). The springs are soft, very easy no insert and extract batteries, even with only one hand. Time to charge 2200Mah 18650 Battery, from full flat to full charged: 5 hours. (there are slower and faster ones, but it is very good) For its price, I doubt you can get something better. You can use with 110-220 volt AC and even with 12 volt DC. Charging current is between 400 and 600mA. Not too high, not too low.
Cons: - Connection cord in US format. Adaptor required for European users - No 12 volt car adapter included. - Is a little bit big, but is aceptable. - Cells for more than 4000mAh could be slow to charge No more cons
Other: If you are searching for a charger that can charge almost all li-ion cylindrical cells, that stops charging at 4,20 exact volts, and that have multiple power inputs (110-240 and 12v DC) buy it. 100% recommended
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - Unique: Runs on 12VDC (required for portable solar and wind generated systems).
- Price.
- Will also charge 3.7 Volt lithium-polymer batteries (see "Other Thoughts" below).
Cons: - Out-of-the-box, the 12VDC input jack did not work. But a touch of the soldering gun quickly repaired the loose internal solder connection (but we're not cry-babies on this site -right?).
I went one step further and soldered a standard 12VDC "cigarette lighter" plug (and line) into the TrustFire device.
Other: Highly recommended item for the hobbyist and experimenter.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Charges my 14500 and 18650. Easy and working. Dual channel that works.
Cons: Tricke charge. I have to use 12VAC adapter (+ diode bridge) for better safety (I saw many TR-001 burned when used on our 230V). Slow charge rate.
Other: My first li-ion charger from dx. Slow charge rate is not problem for me. Worth money for me.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Looks like a serious tool.
Charges the batteries very accurate! (more at Other Thoughts)
Very good price for such charger!
Status LED’s are easy to understand and looks very good.
Two-channel charging - can simultaneously charge the batteries of different capacities (the both batteries will always be fully charged)!
Replaceable 8-style power cord (there is no need to buy the EU adapter, you can simply use a different cable - for example from a CD player, printer, or camera battery charger).
Can easily insert different size batteries without the use of extensions or wires.
Cons: Not yet, because it works great! Maybe just:
When connected to the AC 230V leads to a slight noise, after a few minutes, it disappears.
Other: Very good charger, the best in this price range! I think that buying this charger, you can not make mistake (of course some item can be Waster).

Pros: It can charge virtually any Lithium cell and has 12V input. Also this charger is using the proper charging algorythm CC-CV (constant current when charging, constant voltage when charged).
Cons: As I've read from the forums there's a very high risk of burning it by plugging it into 230V mains. So I'm using it with 12V 500mA adaptor and it works fine.
Other: It can serve you well but it's another thing worth INVESTING in it rather then just bying.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: The build qulity is excellent. It works just fine. It has two independent channels and auto stop charging when batteries are ready. It charges two 16340 Ultrafire 880 mAh(silver) from full empty for 2.5 hours
Cons: it makes a little noise when charging and also there is no adapter for europian sockets. The charger also have input for 12 volt, but there is no adaptor cable in the package.
Other: no other thoughts

Pros: + Cheap.
+ Compact.
+ Has dual power - it allows to use it at home and in a car.
+ Has two independent channels - it allows to charge batteries mixed in size and capacity.
+ Has a long power cord.
+ Has a standard AC power socket - such cables are available at practically any electronics store.
Cons: - Has no instructions at all!!! So only 4 stars for "Ease-of-use". Also an absence of an user-manual in Russian is a violation of Russian law (I am in Russia). Of course I will NOT complain about it to the authorities but there are people who can do it. So I hope that manuals in different languages will be included in the future batches of this product.
- Has an US plug so if you are in Europe you will have to buy a cable at a local store or use SKU.3529 (be careful - not every device with US plug can be plugged into 220V socket!!!).
- Has no DC power cord to the cigarette lighter socket for using in a car (but if you know how to use a soldering iron it is not a problem for you).
- The DC power socket is quite small - such socket is used in 5V DC wall adapters (I own a such adapter) but none of my 12V DC wall adapters has a such small plug. So I had to change a DC socket of this charger for a bigger one.
- Has no MOV (metal-oxyde varistor) inside and even has no place for it! So only 3 stars for "Build Quality". I've soldered a MOV - to do it desolder anodes of D3 and D4 diodes, increase two holes and solder anodes of D3 and D4 and a MOV into the increased holes. In Russia where in small towns electricians don't care much with a zero wire overvoltage (260-280V or higher) is a common practice so MOV is REQUIRED. I hope that TrustFire would correct the PCB desigh and would install MOVs in future batches of this charger.
Other: If you need a charger for 3.7-4.2V lithiym batteries, 3.0V lithium batteries are not in use in your circumstances and you know how to use a soldering iron I recommend this one.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Much better quality than the Tenergy wall charger that it is replacing. Half the price
can take 12V in(adapter not included)
Cons: Low current. Needed for lower capactiy or low C rated cells. Takes a while to charge larger 18650's. Would be nice if it charged 26650's or 32650's also. You COULD mod it to charge one.3 weeks from order to door. Montana,USA
Other: Best value unless you need it fast. Then buy domestic.
