TV Gamepad Controller with SD Card Slot

Pros: + Works with nearly all games + Compatible with saved games + Perfect emulation without slowdown + No graphics glitchs (even with Sonic 3D!) + Shows internal ROM name in game selection menu + 2P compatibility + Robust plastic

Cons: - Needs to copy first to a FLASH memory (you can't load directly from SD) - Works only with 6 buttons pad (no 3 buttons compatibility) - No NTSC<->PAL mode switch (I have a NTSC+PAL compatible TV, but no everyone have got one like this) - The saved game is stored at FLASH memory. Cannot be dumped to SD. Be careful when rewritting a game slot, the saved game will be deleted!

Other: Nice for playing. I'm using it both for playing and for develop games with BasiEgaXorz QBASIC compiler.

Pros: very cheap, runs Sega Megadrive/Genesis ROMs,
works pretty well, supports SD card, has a plug for a 6 button controller for a second player (see other thoughts)

Cons: Games have to be copied from the SD card to the internal memory.
There are only 2 storage slots for games.
There is NO DIRECTORY support.
Game saves cannot be transferred to the SD card.
You cannot make subdirectories to organize games (that is pretty inconvenient!)
Does not run PAL ROMs.

Other: interesting game console. SD slot is pretty neat for that low price.
Menu system is very limited, and has no subdirectory support.
Only 2 game slots on internal memory, and games can only be played from the internal memory.
Build quality seems better than you would seem from the first look.
All in all and for that price it is a really good value!

Pros: ¦ Games work without slowdown ¦ Every game tested works, even complex ones like Red Zone ¦ It has a second controller to play with a friend ¦ Low power comsumption, so batteries last a lot of time ¦ Compatibility with both NTSC and PAL video systems ¦ Works with SDs and MMCs, tested up to 2GB (enought to fit over 1000 games!) ¦ Updateable firmware

Cons: ¦ Video has less color than a original Megadrive (btw, it can be fixed in TV's settings) ¦ Mono sound only, and also some audio channels are too loud (specially, PSG channels) ¦ No connector for external power supply (it's not a big problem since the batteries last a lot) ¦ No way to backup saves to SD ¦ Fails with some new LCD televisions (this can be fixed removing a resistor inside)

Other: The controller's box may be different from that on the picture: my first one came with that, but my second controller came with a different one
