U581 CAN OBDII/EOBDII Memo Scanner with Live Data

Pros: This item is ok for reading some of the older cars from 96> it is clear and consise and does make the job of clearing fault codes alot easier than taking it to a main dealer.

Cons: Although this item is ok for older cars, it does not do all makes and the newer cars like a vauxhal zafira 75 plate it will not read, niether would it read a 01 plate saab 93. it would read an 03 plate volvo v40 though (confusing). this is down to what type for connection speed your car uses, so in short if you are purchasing for a particular car check weather it's a high speed hub first and if it is give this a miss. But if you are a giezza doing barra jobs on older cars its worth a punt to save yourself time and make some money.

Other: shuold i have bought this item?????????? probabley not!!!!!!! i work on alot of newer cars and i hope this will work on them even if it wont work on my own car. usual story save others money whilst my car will have to go to a garage to be fixed. bummer.

Pros: On the cars tried that it works on, it works very well. It is very easy to use and is quite self explanatory. When it works, you just press power and enter and it determines which of the protocols is being used.

Cons: However it did not work on my GM car. I have used another brand on it and it worked perfectly so I know the cars systems are fine. It advertises that it recognizes J1850 VPW but it certainly didn't.

Other: Be aware.

Pros: The device works great, that's all. Everything's like in spec above, just didn't check the update ability. Had no problems while working with Nissan 2001 auto. Good build quality, nice & handy carrying case.

Cons: I disagree only with the price, can be a bit cheaper IMHO

Other: If you're paranoic like me, if you want to have all info about your car in front of your eyes by yourself and tired to visit the services - that's definitely your choice

Pros: seems to be a nice tool if it only could work .comes with a handy tool bag that can be useful .

Cons: Nothing for my TOYOTA I had very big toughts for this product but unforetunely the tool wont work. It will not etablish any contact with my car. It looks nice but can not be useful at my TOYOTA RAV4 2002mod. Also its cheap made

Other: Be aware ! it happens on and on and on again . Dont buy hi-tec products if you dont alredy know it works for you.
