Ultra Mini Bluetooth 2.1+EDR USB 2.0 Dongle

Pros: This little BT is pretty darn decent for it's price (5USD @ the time when i bought it)..
ok first off, yes this does work w/ windows 7 x64 (what im using) but it can't be detected properly w/ native windows BT drivers.. it wont give errors but it just wont appear anywhere too..
finally got it to work w/ windows 7 x64 using BlueSoleil and Toshiba Stack!!!
I prefer toshiba stack so much better, because w/ BlueSoleil my Nokia Ovi Suite couldn't detect the new sms received in my phone, i have to manually refresh it.. but w/ Toshiba stack (w/c is better than the latter anyway) everything works as expected! and connects really fast too and stuff..
and to my surprise, it works w/ my BT headphones too (Senneheisser BT 310)!! I didnt expect for this to support a2dp but it works!

Cons: ok.. few cons
1) this darn thing took about 3 weeks to get to me.. would've been normal if it wasnt for the fact i paid for EMS shipping coz i needed this already like ASAP
2) playing audio from my PC to my BT headphone (at both High and Low quality settings) resulted in choppyness.. like the music would play for 10 seconds then result in half second chops for a few seconds and continue on .. and back to the chops etc etc.. so i guess that's the draw back of this cheap bT device.. not that much of a draw back really considering its fully functional, really really small, and works w/ windows 7 x64..

Other: For the price, and windows 7 x64 compatibility, not to mention works w/ both BlueSoleil 4.xx and Toshiba Stacks (i tested both), this is a winner..

Pros: Really good design, i think there is no way to make the thing smaller. It barely shows up the border of my netbook computer. I bought this and payed the extra buck for the EDR capability I didn´t have time to try yet, but it's very good to have a full 2.1 BT adapter this size. I tested it with mono and stereo ADP2C audio and it works ok. Fits kind of loose into the USB socket (see cons) but electrical contact is perfect.

Cons: It's so little you can easily get it lost. The connector is so small and lacks the outer metal part (ground) common to all USB plugs so it fits kind of loose into the USB socket. I think they did it this way because adding the metal outer part would shield the radio signal.

Other: Really good product, just a little bit expensive to double price over 2.0 BT for the EDR function.

Pros: * It's really ultra mini small. I use it on my notebook and I don't even plug it off. If it was smaller, you wouldn't be able to remove it from the USB port... * Works on Linux without effort.

Cons: * none.. really, this thing is just perfect

Other: There are other product, cheaper than this, others expensive.. This is really small and great!

Pros: Great cost and benefit, they do what they promised.
Very small, the use of either AS1410 netbook to realize that it is plugged.
The price of this model in Brazil is around 25 reais, the DX is with great price.

Cons: He recognizes in Windows 7, some functions did not work, ie, the generic drivers work in win7 only send and receive files.
I had to install the Bluesoleil to work properly and is a marvel.
Take care not to lose too small.

Other: I'll buy another for my friends, very good product.

Pros: Works great on both windows 7 64bit and mac systems. Ultra small and it just dissapears into the USB port. It has a small blinking light when its operating which is a nice touch. Device and drivers was automatically detected on windows or mac

Cons: Not a con but the ultra small size may need extra care when handling as it might just get lost without you noticing it

Other: Get it if you need bluetooth on your PC. Recommended

Pros: Just plug and use, tested on Windows 7 x64. It have a good operational range. Perfect size to plug on the back of the computer and forget about it! File transfer from the computer to a cellphone with Android 2.2 (Nexus One) worked flawlessly. No need for cables anymore!

Cons: None. Really!

Other: I will buy another one.

Pros: *Works on ubuntu 10.10 without effort. *The PRICE, it would be 4 times more if i would buy this good bluetooth dongle from finland at cheapest. *Range was really 20 meters, i got tho other side of the house and it still connected.

Cons: None at all.

Other: If you wan't bluetooth dongle from dealextreme buy this one. I am so happy i bought this.

Pros: Excellent price, excellent device, excellent everything. It works like a charm, has a goog range. It worked on my Win7 64bit automatically. I tryed in ubuntu but I couldnt make it work (maybe my fault).

Cons: None I can think of. Maybe the long shipment wait :D

Other: If you need to connect an USB device to your PC dont hesitate and buy this one, you wont regret.

Pros: This is a cool little device. Ultra-small and and does the job. And, of course it has the usual famous cheap DX price.

Cons: Not sure what's happening, but sometimes I get a message that the evaluation version of the drive is only good for 30 days and will expire (this is why I only gave a 4 out of 5 for ease of use). Maybe the problem is not with the device, but rather with my laptop configuration?

Other: Great device and smart purchase. Works great with little effort. Thanks DX!

Pros: - It's amazingly small, when attached to the side of my laptop, it would seem like somebody buried it there. So it fits perfectly to laptops, without sticking out.
- The 2.1 Bluetooth and EDR seems to be fully functional, it pairs with everything i throw at it. And i haven't had a problem with it yet.
- The adapter installs itself without any drivers on both WinXP and Win7. Plug it in, give it a minute and it works.

Cons: - Nothing major, but the status light on the adapter flashes like mad, even when not used.
- Beware that the adapter also comes in a very small plastic bag, that is very easy to throw away with the envelope that comes from dealextreme.

Other: Got a phone with Bluetooth?
Tired of headsets with cables?
Duh, just buy it. I suppose you can afford it, since you have access to a computer and the internet..
