What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Very small, same as the smaller bluetooth dongles.
Good quality, doesn't seem like it would break easily - should endure same as any usb device.
Comes with a cd containing divers for (almost) any plantform
Cons: Probably works well on Windows machine, had small problems with linux driver. It keeps disconnecting. Should fixable, haven't looked more indepth yet.
Other: rtl8192cu chip, fyi. Realtek has drivers online for it, newer than the ones on the cd.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Tiny, does b/g/n, Common chipset
Cons: Need to compile a Linux module (should be fixed in newer distros). Status LED is almost hidden by case, only visible right at edge since plastic is opaque
Other: I have a small embedded device so was looking for something like this - very small, and it basically works. If the LED was visible without hacking, I would have given it all 5s, since it is nice to know if it is actually all the way in, recognized, and sending.

Pros: Short protrusion is convenient and far less likely to break off. It just works. What more can be said. Enclosed instruction book was all in character, but a good manual was a PDF on the drivers disk. Really solid feeling build quality.
Cons: How much antenna can you expect in a unit this size. With my Asus stick, the router two rooms over shows 85% signal strength, and 60% for the one in the basement. This one is 50% for the router two rooms over and 26% for the one in the basement. One of my defense programs gave a "software not found - probable malware" during installation. But AVG seemed to be happy. After the required reboot, everything ran well. I haven't used it longer to see if any other problems.
Other: Solid. Feels unbreakable, especially since there's no leverage on it. Connected right away. Just works. What else can I say?
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Very, very small. A must for those old notebook that has no wifi or even a desktop far from your hub.
Cons: Very, very small. You can miss it if you don't take enough care. It's better never pull it out.
Other: I think I'll buy 2 of it just in case I lost it somewhere. Worth every cent paid. Very good signal reception.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Plugged it in, and after convincing the CD drive in my ancient Compaq computer to read the driver disk, installed the driver and I was up and running. No muss, no fuss.
Cons: Signal strenght usually registers as very good (minus on bar) from a few meters away. This isn't really a problem as it works great - but I thought I'd point this out. Not sure if I'd be able to use this on my patio.
Other: It really doesn't get any better than this... the price, the ease of installation, and the flawless performance - what else could I ask for?
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Tiny, fits nearly inside a USB 2.0 port. Good steady 150mbit linkup over 10-15meters from WiFi AP 300mbit of realtek chip make that do not work ok with intel wifi chip.
Cons: Tiny, and no area for cooling so gets silly hot, good? Comes with tiny cd-rom with drivers, that wont work with my slot in cd/dvd drive. status leds on the chip inside the usb port, makeing the status led's not visible. do not play nice with other wifi from realtek for some reason, a work in progress to use more then one at same time.
Other: item recived NOT as pictured here on DX, its completly black. neverless its works relly good. Downloaded RTL8192CU_AutoInstallPackage from realtek's webpage and it worked, i have not used the included driver cd. os says its a 8188C and the U stands for USB, so a 8188CU by the look of things.

Pros: Very high quality of execution. Beautiful packaging, has the right presentation. Included is the driver. Installed very easily. There were doubts whether it will operate at some distance from the access point. Doubts were dispelled. Inside the apartment, it works everywhere, through two rooms, although there were three walls.
Cons: no cons
Other: Laptop where no wireless network module is the ideal solution. Since the device performs outside of the notebook by only a few millimeters, it will not be broken off when you move the laptop in the room. Recommend.

Pros: It is very small. Works surprisingly well it gets a 100% power rating while going through three plaster walls to reach my router. I can also see the my next door neighbor and the guy across the street at over 50%. Needless to say the power and the sensitivity surprised me.
Cons: No real cons other than having to compile a driver for my Linux distro, the source code is included on the CD.
Other: This thing isn't for war driving or distant point to point connections, but if you are looking for easy around the house connectivity from a wifi dongle that doesn't take up much room this thing is hard to beat.

Pros: The smallest and most convenient WiFi "subdongle" ever had been sold! :) I didn't test it's maximum speed, I just have no "N" access point, I just needed a thing to upgrade my old laptop the way it still be handy to carry and hold. But all that WiFi's I could find over Moscow was either PCMCIA controllers with oar-like antennas or finger-long USB plugs that, furthermore, costs a lot. Now, I just find what I want. It's as little as possible, yeah. It doesn't stick out of laptop's casing so I shure the USB socket and plug are out of danger. It works thru 4 walls of brick and 10m dist. over my flat. It seems to built firmly, and it's rather possible to lose it than to crash :)
Cons: Price is biggish a little, IMHO. The things of this kind are all produced with "one stamp's hit", so it seems we pay a third over for an actual popularity of WiFi :) Also, when I tried to use it with XP native WiFi control panel (only using a USB device driver from the disk appended), it has some difficulties with establishing a connection. But when I just installed all the software pack from CD (and applied some shaman skills, i don't remember what), it started to work fine, and it still does.
Other: Extremally good for it's idea, the price may be some lower. Maybe, i'll buy more of these.

Pros: if you close to your modem, it will do the job. its not the best recevier that you can find, its not the cheepest but its really smallest. if you dont have big spaces or dont want to carry a dongle like a carrot, you can use this. easy to install with windows xp. i did not try with win 7 but i think it wont be a problem
Cons: like i said it will do the job if you close to your modem, it hasnt got a very good signal but it will do the trick
Other: if you close to your modem, buy it. if your signal is weak and you are away from modem, dont buy it.
