What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Nice and bright. Awesome knurling (almost like a Damascus twisted knurling- very good grip and makes for an unusual appearance to the light) GITD cap. Super easy mode switching and real mode memory. Nice strike bezel
Cons: OK roll up your sleeves if you get this. Mine did not work at first. After cleaning everything and lubing it it still did not work- I then tapped it against my leg and it flickered once. A little more shacking and it WORKS! No O rings on mine. Lens and reflector rattle around in head. Clip is pretty weak. Threads are pretty dirty and seem weak
Other: I a bit disappointed in this one. It does have some nice features but the rattling of the reflector on lens bugs me. Also it seems as if the threads were miscut. Build quality is not on par with other UF lights (especially the C3). OK value for the money. I will be tearing it apart and trying to fix the rattle.

Pros: Bright. Nice clip - but see later. Fits nicely and unobtrusively clipped inside my trouser pocket. Very, very thick walls. I reckon I could drive my car over this one and it would still work. Probably the only light I own that I'd dare do this with.
With all that body to sink heat in it ought to be reliable and not get too hot. After 20 minutes it is warm in the hand but far from too hot to hold.
Cons: Will not light with any NiMH or Alkaline AA cell so is 14500 lithium cell only.
Mine did not light out of the box until I got the clip properly seated. After that I did not remove the tailcap as seating the clip is a pain. Build quality rating dropped because of this - otherwise it is probably the toughest light I own.
Not as bright on a 14500 as any of my 4 Ultrafire C3's. However, the hotspot is a fair bit wider so may actually pump out more light. Peak brightness of the hotspot at one metre is roughly 25% lower than the C3. However, the wider hotspot my make it more useful for some.
Other: I like it - it is not noticeable clipped to the inside of my trouser pockets and its bulk inspires confidence in it. It has been my constant companion for the last three weeks or so and has been useful.
5 modes. Most often just gets used on high which is what it defaults to. Medium is useful for close up stuff as high is way too much light for this.
Has a strobe and SOS mode. Does anyone actually use these?
