Ultrafire WF-008 Recoil Thrower Cree Q5-WC 230-Lumen LED Flashlight (1*18650/2*CR123A)

Pros: It give a very tight focused beam, makes a great spot light. Being focused it is also much brighter. Build quality is very good (couple of sharp edges though).
Very Very Different from other torches.

Cons: Beam is more square than round, because of the LEDs die, but thats not a real problem, especially at distance.
A little pricey when compared to other Q5 torches on DX, but still you can't get one like this cheaper anywhere else.

Other: If you want a torch for walking at night then something like SKU.16541 would be better. If you need more of a spot for searching/hunting then you can't go wrong with this.

Pros: -Well machined. I really like the build quality compared to other flashlights from here.
-It uses a 18650 so you get good runtime.
-Good thrower (dont expect a super-mega-thrower but it really throws).
-DIFERENT from all other flashlights I've seen tiil now!! Just ask my friends, they were very surprised (and me very proud of it).
-Only gets 0.73amp from the batery, so better runtime an less heating.
-Only one mode (who needs more in a thrower).
-Nice anodithing inside and out side.
- Smoth threads.

Cons: -With a 18650 is a bit underdriven, maybe it could be better with 2xCR123A (I don't have this cells to test).
- Poor contact in the switch, but easily fixed.
-No thermal compound between pill and housing.

Other: Overall I'm really happy of it.

A great thrower and nothing more. Forget using this as a normal flashlight, it has zero spill and a very focused beam with a narrow spread.

Cons: Mine has a bent post for the led. It is bad! So I cant understand how it got past quality control. But nonetheless it performs well and the general build quality is excellent, and by far surpasses other Ultrafire flashlights I own.
The other issue I have is that mine is without regulation and as a consequence it will not accept 2 x CR123A batteries. I tried it and talk about an angry blue LED!!!

Pros: Excelente linterna lanzadora, probada contra la M*g modificada con Cree Q5 y lente aspherical, y le da batalla de igual a igual, probada a 100 metros da un punto luminoso concentrado sin nada de corona, es casi perfecta.

Cons: Una mancha en el reflector, que no genera problema a la hora de usarla y el o-ring del tapón de cola que va muy ajustado y viene sin lubricar, lubriquenlo o sino lo romperán.
Interruptor de recorrido algo largo, no es un inconveniente en si.

Other: Muy buena compra, contento con ella

Cons: Eu moro no Brasil, comprou duas lanternas eo interruptor está falhando, não estou satisfeito.

Pros: Throws like you would not believe. All I need is a small "bat" logo on the glass to send out signal :-) Beautifly finished with nice blueish tint. Handy strap that can be removed no unnecessary strobe,sos etc If you want cars to look out for you while biking then this a good way to do it. It is impossible not to notice you coming. To see properly yourself you need a second light with more spill though. Compact size.

Cons: It had a contact issue that dissapeared with tightening of the cap. Hope it does not return. Only for throwing, not really a con unless you are a little stupid ;-)

Other: If you desire a thrower that is compact and light weight the I know of no better way to go. I waited forever for mine to arrive (back ordered after placing my order) so be ready wait for yours even if it does not say back ordered.

Pros: Great throw....about 3500 to 500 feet of usable light. Small and Light weight. O-rings in all of the right places. Decent machining. 0 spill

Cons: The tail switch is a bit finicky. Reflector has some scratches in it...and could have been polished better. 0 spill....It's a pro and a con all at the same time. It just means that this light is only good for one thing...and thats for throwing the beam.

Other: Good light for the money....would buy it again. Highly recomend it.

Pros: Good Built quality except the click switch. Well Machine and Anodized. Very good Thrower compare to my other torch light that I have.

Cons: The clicky switch fail after a few click. Do not want to send back to DX. Now waiting for my Clicky Switch for Flashlights (16mm 5-Pack) SKU 05632 to arrive

Other: Manufacture should do more test on the clicky switch. I have 2 torch light failed after a few click due to the switch.

Pros: Wow, this torch really throws a long way! The beam is just like an aspheric - you get the square shape of the LED projected onto your target. I got this light for mounting on a rifle - it's great for that! You can easily identify and shoot a target at over 100 metres with this light. It throws a good 50% further than my smooth reflector Eagletac T100C2. Build quality is quite good - though the O rings are a bit small and fragile - the front one tore when I removed the head to grease the threads (which are dry as delivered) Runtime is great - over three hours no problems on a single Ultrafire 18650. The light looks great and feels great in the hand. Switch works just fine.

Cons: A momentary switch would be nice, and mine's missing the GITD spot on the front of the LED mount (no big deal...)

Other: This light is exceptional value and does what it's supposed to - throws a long, tight beam and has a good runtime.
