Ultrafire WF-500 Xenon Flashlight

Pros: Very very bright light. Good battery life considering the amount of light this produces.

Cons: Too bright for close up work. Protected batteries don't work in this.

Other: Good bright light at a price that cannot be beat.

Pros: This is a well made, heavy wall very bright flashlight. It has double O rings. For constant on you twist the tail-cap, for momentary you push the tail-cap. It's large and heavy.

Cons: The only protected batteries that will power up this light are AW's. Any other protected brand will not even get a glimmer or blink out of it. If you think it's defective just put AW 18650's in it and it's a barnburner.

Other: A fantastic and extremely bright light as long as you feed it AW cells. DX also sells a perfect fitting holster (SKU 4517) for this light, and replacement bulb modules too (SKU 3144).

Pros: Solid, bright, cheap. Will also take 17670 cells which lots of older laptop battery packs used.

Cons: As has been said before, it doesn't like protected 18650's as it draws rather a lot of current.

Other: Happy with it.

Pros: Great build quality on this light! Good machining, lubed threads, O-rings everything fits together and looks very nice. The output is blinding, this thing puts out some serious lumens. For the cost of this light its way cheaper then modding a maglite! I like the shape of the light, it feels good in the hand, a good size.

Replacement bulbs are also very cheap here at DX for this light.

Cons: My light arrived with a broken filament in the bulb, put a spare bulb in and I was away!

Other: For $25 why wouldn't you buy this light, the build quality is great and the output cant be beat for $25.

Pros: The brightest flashlight you can buy off the shelf for $25 shipped! The build quality and finish of this product is on par with my Wolf-Eyes M90X-13v! My WF-500 with 2x Trustfire 18650s(SKU:5776) has a greater output than my W.E M90X-13v!

Cons: That DARNED clicky tailcap!! Too stiff and loud for any sort of tactical applications. This product would have earned 5/5 for its Ease-of-use and Overall Rating if it came with a twisty tailcap instead!

Other: Unless your life & country depended on it, you'd be really hard pressed to justify spending 10x extra on those expensive flashlights after buying the WF-500...

Pros: LOVE THIS LIGHT. Have used a Streamlight Stinger for years prior. Ready to give it away!! Amazing amount of light for such a compact flashlight. I now own 5 of them! Got one by every door and in each vehicle. You will NEVER buy another light of similar size again. I promise.

Cons: Head is slightly over 2" at widest part. Overall length is only 8" however.

Other: If you are considering ordering one, then order three because you will want more as soon as the first one arrives!!

Pros: Appears to be excellent build quality, some of the threading is a little course but fit and finish are great.

Cons: Only two gripes; First, it was mailed only in a padded envelope and wrapped in newspaper(can't complain much due to the free shipping).This lead to a couple of small gouges on the bezel but they are not large enough to be a concern. And second, Although it was my own misunderstanding they didn't include a set of batteries, it may have been in writing somewhere but I did not realize this until I recieved the light.

Other: I haven't energized the light yet so I can't describe the beam or battery life but I ordered batteries today and should be able to submit a better review in a few weeks. Overall it seems like a really well built unit at an excellent price.

Pros: Got the batteries, the Trustfire 18650 - 2400mAh work exceptionally well. As others stated, this light is extremely bright. A co-worker shined the light into his own eyes(not a genius), after his vision returned he saw spots for several minutes. Battery life seems good as well

Cons: I had one failure, the light did'nt click on. I took the batteries out and replaced them again making sure everything was tight and PRESTO1 Light again. Also placed the light in my pack where something bumped the tailcap and turned the light on, a recessed switch might be better.

Other: Amazing light for the money I already have others wanting to purchase their own after seeing mine.

Pros: Very bright light! Must be 400-450 lumens. Good light pattern with good throw and good spill making it very usefull as a general purpose light. The construction is very good with ample mass for a heatsink. Even the reflector is fairly thick spun aluminium. The bulb is high quality with no visable artifacts or shadows. With 2 x 18650 the run time is considerable although I have no way to measure it.

Cons: Kind of large. Think I would prefer a clicky switch.

Other: Might be the best flashlight value for the money that Dx has.

Pros: got my flashlight, along with rechargeable 18650 batteries, and the charger. (last two not included) charged each battery for two hours, and the light was great, i took it outside at night and it shines bright from even 50 feet away. i'd figure this is a light that police would use since it illuminates the dark pretty well, overall a great product

Cons: faux click button at the end..
for the longest time i had trouble getting a consistent way of turning it on, but after playing around with it and twisting the top-mid portion, i can now turn it on and off by only using the end and twisting it back and forth.

Other: pretty darn bright! great product & great price! and my protected rechargeable batteries work fine!
