Pros: - The build quality of the UV drop in is very good, it exceeded my expectations.
- Produces a perfect beam beyond 20 cm.
- Equally bright using 18650's and 16340's!
Cons: - The build quality of the host is poor. it has a very stiff clicky and it is causing flickering due to contact issues in the tailcap.
- Donut shaped beam inside of 20 cm from aperture.
Other: The uv drop in is GREAT, the host not so much.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Strong UV beam. Covers good area. Shows all sorts of things that you can't see in normal light (or might not want to see). No problems with clicky. Host seems sturdy. Can use other drop-ins, such as sku.17593.
Cons: Does not have a clip as stated in description. Lanyard is cheap and broke off easily. Threads were kinda rough and did not come lubed, neither did the o-rings. The threads dropped a lot of shavings initially, which got all over the o-rings. Lens arrived cracked, but DX did send me a replacement.
Other: Great UV light. The host could have been better prepared. Lanyard is useless.

Pros: This is a very cheap light.
The body is a P60 compatible host and so you have a variety of drop ins available.
The light can run on both RCR123A and 18650 batteries.
Cons: The threads squeek a lot.
The tail clicky switch is very hard to press.
Other: All the options available make this a wonderful light to have

Pros: This is a very cheap light.
The body is a P60 compatible host and so you have a variety of drop ins available.
The light can run on both RCR123A and 18650 batteries.
Has O rings on the head and tail to prevent water from entering.
Cons: The threads squeek a lot on opening.
The tail clicky switch is very hard to press.
Other: All the options available make this a wonderful light to have

Pros: The real perfect UV light to search for leakage (with Rhodamin or Fluoresceine)
funge-infestation (dermatological)
and search for human/animal bodyfluids.
Working very fine, normal use with one
rechargable 18650 or two 16340 (3V or 3.7V) for higher output.
I did not have the troubles other users
have discribed, the building quality is 100% and the output definitely higher than the 1/2 or 1 Watt UV led-emitter wich is sold by Deal Extreme also.
Any other UV light (multiled and another build with a 1 Watt UV emitter)
I have in posession is NO match for this Ultrafire
Cons: None actually, exept the focussing of the led, the reflector should be twisted about 1/2-1 turn back so a sharp focus can be realised wich also extends the throw .
After adjusting fix the focussing with a few drops of cyanoacrylate
Other: For everyone who works with dyes and/or other scientific stuff, like minerals gemstones, UV hardening glue, biologists searching for traces of urine, semen and so on, should consider to buy this unit.
Also usefull as a blacklight during parties.

Pros: - Very cool effect. Fluoresces things just like a blacklight. - Fairly bright. I would estimate it has about 80 lumens of UV light. - Host is good, although very common. I have 4 of these same types of host bodies now. Great for pop ins of other emitters. - Charges GITD material instantly.
Cons: - No clip. Not sure why the title says it has a clip, but this host has never had clips from the 4 others I have. - The host body is nice and looks good, but as said in other reviews, the paint chips right off, so don't drop it. - Beam is pretty diffused, which is not really a horrible thing but the beam-spot is misshaped, messy, and is not consistent.
Other: Great light to play around with. This is a good compliment to any powerful violet laser. Great for portable powerful UV when you need it or just want to make stuff glow/fluoresce!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: The best value in UV lights anywhere. Good light output. Good battery life. Build quality is pretty decent. nice wrist strap. Handles 18650 or RCR123 very well
Cons: Beam artifacts and devergence is horrible (as most non white LEDS tend to be. Clicky is stiff but never fails to work
Other: I have dozens of light from DX- I've yet to get a bum one and once again this is a cool light- I got it for my Dad- but after looking at some flouresenct rocks I may just order another one.

Pros: Reasonable price for a UV flashlight. Looks nice, most build quality is good.
Cons: NOT 3 watts as advertised! Measured input power about .75W (.2A @ 3.8V)with freshly charged UltraFire LC 18650 cell. LED not centered properly, main beam off to one side. Flashlight body a little short for the UltraFire cell, sanding down the plastic spacer in the head section helps, otherwise do not tighten the head or cell cap too much.
Other: With a few mods, this light is nice. I guess advertising at 3 watts does sell more units?...(worked on me!!!),though all I care about is optical power out, don't have an easy way to measure that. Maybe others have measured and found the power is 3 watts. If so maybe post your results.

Pros: Works nice at night doing geocaching to follow a UV trace.
Cons: The rubber of the tail cap was not in it's place but easy to repair.
I measured at about 3V a consumption of rouhly 300mA which makes about 1Watt! Even at 3,7V -like a LiIon battery- I could measure the same power. Definitely no 3W lamp!!!
Other: works well for my purpose (geocaching) but could've been more powerful.

Pros: It is excellent to see how many wax in the ear. Weird but true. I use it to see if my girl friend still have wax in the ear after a cleaning.
Also good to see if she clean correctly the bathroom or the carpet.
Cons: It is not really good for detecting canadian money or false passport. Wrong uv lenght.
Other: It is well made but not for what I buy it first.
