UNI-T UT204A 1.5" LCD Digital Clamp Multimeter (1 x 9V 6F22)

Pros: + Can measure DC current with a clamp, although not most precisely. + It's relatively well built and feels sturdy in hand, but rather lightweight. + Rotary switch and clamp move smoothly and are well built.

Cons: - Probe wires feel cheap. - Thermal sensor even cheaper. - Carrying bag isn't that good either.

Other: Received it in 3 weeks among lots of other stuff. I'm happy with the purchase, i got what expected. Hopefully it will last as long as my previous uni-t multimeter. It's a decent clampmeter for this price.

Pros: 600amp rated DC -Clamp ,great tool to calculate Watts when setting up /troubleshooting /calculating solar ,Watts =Amps X Volts,helps detect golf cart battery (poor contact wires= high amp draw ),Many applications.Accurate temp probe,Quality build, NO plastic smell like some others.has Hold button.

Cons: *no duty cycle*,(feature NOT accessible).Cumbersome to read display if clamping in tight spaces like engine bay.default to 0.5 amp if clamping multiple wire power cord, (clamp single wire at a time.i.e positive red wire) still awesome would buy again.Dont think T-RMS is accessible feature either.

Other: would buy again,1/5 cost of stellar known brands and actually does better in my opinion.disappointed -"surprise" no duty cycle after "gambling" 20%extra than ut203a!

Pros: It feels solid, looks good, claims true RMS, has a carry bag, and comes with a K type temperature sensor.

Cons: The viewing angle on the LCD display is terrible. You can hardly view the digits holding the meter at a 90 degree angle to your eyes. Also, the included leads are not nice quality (compared to the UT61e leads). The auto shutoff is annoying. If it's possible to turn it off, I haven't figured out how yet.

Other: I don't know if there's a better option out there for the money that includes all of the features of this meter. Even with the annoyances of poor LCD viewing angle, cheap leads, and the auto shutoff, it's still a good meter.
