Pros: This is a classic - it is a very detailed replica of a Canon lens. In fact, I was shocked at the realism. Based on that alone, I'm giving this an overall rating of five, despite a few minor issues outlined below.
Cons: Since this is, in the end, a plastic mug, I was taken back a bit by the price. But, having a daughter totally into photography, I decided to take a chance. Other issues - the rubber grips (that would be used to focus on a real lens) can slide out of place, but only with some real pressure - in my case, getting it out of the box. However, they were easily slid back.
Other: If you're a photographer or want to give a gift to one, I don't think you can do better. Again, this thing looks real enough that someone will likely pick it up thinking to use it for a shoot! Well worth the price.

Pros: This cup is very realistic looking. Though it is made out of plastic, it is very solid and not flimsy at all. It is also Canon branded, though the pictures here don't show it (probably because it would be trademark infringement as an unlicensed use). As others have mentioned, with the lens cap (lid) on, it is realistic enough to fool someone into picking it up.
Cons: There are no markings to indicate dishwasher or microwave safety. I'll assume neither and hand-wash only. Also the threads at the top (that would ostensibly be for a hood) interfere with drinking just slightly and will likely cause drips down your front if you aren't careful.
Other: Absolutely worth it for your photog enthusiasts.

Pros: Great detailed replica of the Canon lens, although some text printed on it is larger then on the originel. From a distance, it really looks like the real thing, already fooled a friend who was shocked i was drinking out of a lens :D It holds great in the hand, dispite its rather big size.
Cons: The lid to close the cup actualy doesnt lock, it just 'sits' on top of it, making it really not usable for transport any drinks in it. Due the rather big size at the mid/top section yet slightly small bottom, it can tumble over rather easily. The rubber bands tend to slide up and down abit, even so its very easy to push them back.
Other: Although slightly priced (ok, never seen any cheaper) its a great gift or just a nice mug to show around. Specialy for the semi/pro fotographer its a nice gift.

Pros: The mug is very well done, actually has built all the details of a lens canon 24-105mm IS USM. When capped can confuse even the most experienced photographers.
A caneca é muito bem feita, realmente possuio todos os detalhes de uma lente canon 24-105mm USM IS. Quando tampada pode confundir até os fotógrafos mais experientes.
Cons: The plastic has a weird texture, slightly wrinkled that conveys a sense of fragility, but if you do not seek perfection will like it. The symbols and values printed on the lens mimic an original lens, but the print quality of these brands is weak.
Other: It's a good buy, I teach photography and the mug was a huge success in my class.
É uma boa compra, sou professor de fotografia e a caneca fez o maior sucesso nas minhas aulas.

Pros: If you are a photographer you will love it - this thing looks pretty genuine and many people have commented on it when walking past my desk. If you need to buy a cheap gift for a photographer friend "this is it" they will love it!!
Cons: No real cons - this thing is a gimmick - nothing more, nothing less. The stability could be an issue - smaller at bottom than top - so be careful. And the stability feature on the cup wont help :)
Other: Get it for a gift for someone you know that is an SLR photographer - they will love it.

Pros: Copies of professional lenses is a very good idea for photographers. As a gift to very good. If the product is well made, it's nice. Cup is always useful.
Cons: I ordered three cups to friends. Even before I bought the same cup at another store and I was satisfied. But what I came from Dealextreme is very bad. Ugly plastic, printing is unreliable, poorly matched. That mug would be ashamed to give the photographer. I'm very disappointed now Facebook, I got a cup from another source and it is very nice for a similar price.
Other: About the Deal suppliers and a very very bad.

Pros: + It looks pretty genuine if you're not too close. + Lettering and scale is well done. + The lid looks just like a real lens cap which is a nice touch.
Cons: - It feels a bit flimsy and is narrower at the base which is probably a bad idea. - My cup has a bottom which is not entirely flat, so it wobbles a bit. Even worse when the bottom is alreay so narrow.
Other: I'm quite happy with the product, it looks nice and hopefully i can fix the fact that it wobbles while standing.

Pros: - Well, it fooled some photographers here, it's quite convincing if they don't expect it :) - Holds a good deal of liquid, 350ml is more than the average cup. - Has rubber rings (for better grip)
Cons: - Lettering is a little off, if you look carefully, it's definately sloppier than the real Canon, likewise with the color of the 'red ring' - Cap doesn't hold, it just sits loosely on the top, if the cup falls over, it had better be empty. - Price. $15 for a cup is a LOT, even for a gimmick like this one.
Other: Every Canoneer should have one. Nikonians are better off with their versions, but still, these things are fun. Imagine seeing a '$1000 lens' standing upside down in the dishwasher :P

Pros: I don't know what other people are complaining about? This is a very funny article. It can easily be used as a drinking mug or pen holder. As long as you don't use it near the real Canon EF 24-105 F4 L lens you can fool a lot of people. At least I did. It CANNOT be a perfect resembling copy due to copyright! The resemblance is actually good enough though. The price is a laugh too, very good.
Cons: It does not resemble the real thing a 100 percent, but it is good enough. Only the cover is not a perfect fit, it is just useful to keep dust away, not to close the cup.
Other: The bottomline is that this is a fun product. It is not very useful other than as a cup or mug. If you are an enthusiastic photographer it's a must-have. And as a present it is nice to get.

Pros: I bought this for my older brother. I live in Thailand, but he lives in Turkey. I have sent 5 of this item to him and his friends at his workplace. It was his birthday and it was a funny gift when you give it to a graphics designer :)
Cons: it could look more real by making it with a better plastic material. and you cannot have too much drink in it because it's just 350ml. it could be a bit bigger like 500ml maybe
Other: Good item at a low price and it's good gift too. very different than other types of gifts
