Universal AC to 12V Car Cigarette Lighter Power Adapter

Pros: Inexpensive. Much cheaper than trying to find replacement wall cords if you have a car cord. Small and compact.

Cons: None.

Other: Works great! I have a number of devices that I only have car adapters for. This allows me to use/charge/work on them in the house instead of the car.

Pros: You plug any 12V car accessory into it and it work!

Cons: This converter do a very accute sound when plugged into the wall. It's probably due to poor quality electricals components...

Other: Great product for the price, a "must have" gadget for peoples who have a lot of cars power adaptors!

Pros: Useful item to have. It works as expected. Its got a power led! Slightly higher power output than the other model.

Cons: Modest output current capability. My previous one died when I overloaded it with an AA battery charger.
The plug type doesn't match Oz. Though it might be possible top bend the pins to fit.

Other: If you need one, buy it

Pros: - Use many electric devices built for a vehicle in your house.
- Can be really useful in those rare times your home power supply is missing or broken.

Cons: - Cheap build quality
- Sticker falls off easily
- Not powerful like a real car
- A little bulky
- American plug

Other: It's not powerful like the real thing, but you never know when you'll need it. Useful when you have many electric stuff with a car connector.
I wish there was a more powerful adapter here.

Pros: This device is that kind of stuff you never know when will need it. It is very good to have one when you are transferring data from your GPS to you computer and the GPS battery get exhausted. Since my old Garmin GPS III has an "alien" connector and my cable is made for car 12V plug, this saves my life.

Cons: The build quality is poor. I feel it will break after use it many times. The contacts are not very tight and I suggest you not shake the cable when it is connected the device. (anyone shakes the cable??? :()
I don´t know if it really can source 500mA but it would be a big deal with few more mA like 800mA or even 1A.

Other: If you have a device made for can 12V plugs this is a nice to have gadget specially if your device need to be synced with computer or used outside the car. Most new devices are capable to get power from USB when being used with computers so this is going to be deprecated.

Pros: 12V power source indoors. Does what it does. I use it for my Ipod FM transmitter mainly.

Cons: You aren't going to suck 500 cold cranking amps out of this unit. Low power rectifier circuit so know what you want to use it for first.

Other: This will work great for any low amperage use such as cell phone chargers, FM transmitters. If you want to use a pump or cigarette lighter with this, you will likely find yourself disappointed.

Pros: - Just OK - good for charging my GPS at home (I lost the AC charger for it) - Simple.

Other: Does not cost much. Buy and try to see if it fits your needs, if it is not good enough for you, it's not much of a loss.

Pros: It's easy to use. It's compact. You can bring it anywhere you want.

Cons: The amperage is only .5 AMP, so it's not really useful for much else than charging a cellphone or a gps if you only have a car plug. I went to blow up an air mattress because I only have a car adapter for it, and the thing wouldn't even turn on. The amperage is just too low for any device that has any guts. Build quality is so-so.

Other: If you only need it for recharging things, it's not a bad purchase.

Pros: Easy to use, you plug it in the wall and plug your accessory in to the opening. It has a light to indicate that it is receiving power from the wall socket. You can use stuff made for use in your car in your house or hotel room. You can use your cell phone travel charger in the hotel and leave your regular ac charger at home.

Cons: It is rated at 500mA. That's all I needed but if you need more than that, this won't work for you.

Other: It's a handy adapter to have around the house so that you can use your car accessories in the house.
