Universal Car Windshield Swivel Mount Dock for PDA Cell Phones/MP3/MP4/GPS

Pros: There are so many adjustments on this thing it's amazing, took a couple of days to notice them all (had not seen these pictures of the holder, only a basic one). Knobs loosen to allow serrated joints to index & then lock tightly in place. Nicely stuck to window & does not shake very much. The button releases the clamp in a dampened format (slowly), making it easy to open it enough to get your device out without opening all the way, making it also easy to close (having not opened too far).

Cons: Nothing so far.

Other: Seen these type of mounts in stores for ~$40, they must be crazy, this unit looks to have more features. This unit is a deal and a half.

Pros: the adjustment mechanism is toothed, that's why I got this one, sick of other ones (flexible neck type or ball-joint type) working themselves loose and my phone pointing at the ground. the adjustment mechanism is really good and never worked itself loose. the clip part can be removed and replaced with one of the similar 4-hook type (such as sku.41853 for iph4)

Cons: the suction cup seemed to get looser and looser on mine after a few weeks of being on the windshield. eventually it would not suction on to the windshield any more when the clamp was activated. perhaps this is a defect but interested to hear if other people experience the same problem

Other: quite good but won't be getting another one since mine broke so easily

Pros: Can hold the cell phone or any other fitted insrument quite good and safe.

Cons: Can not rotate easily by 90 degrees (For example a cell phone). Yet I have to check its heat and sun resistance while on car window in the summer in my country (Israel) as another model from this manufacturer became distorted and deformed due to the high sun temperature in the summer after few days and couldn't be usable anymore.

Other: I think it should be a good product but I would like it more if it could rotate more easily by 90 degrees like while driving the car.

Pros: It fits the Galaxy S III even if a protective silicon case (sku.138930) is installed, which should a great pro. It is adjustable so that a change of device won't force me to get a new dock.

Cons: This is where it gets ugly: To start, mine came with one of the plastic covers bent (the one closer to the first adjustment knob, near the suction cup). I had to disassemble it and slowly bring it back to its shape. The suction cup is too small and too fragile for this unit. The "arm" is too long, so it forces the suction cup a lot more (momentum = length x weight). I tried installing this 3 times in my windshield, keeping the windshield always clean beforehand, with alcohool and very dry. It doesn't matter how clean everything is, at the first road bump, the whole thing falls off. Besides, when it isn't falling off, the arm of the mount is so long it vibrates a lot: it is very unstable.

Other: Terrible product, very unstable, heavy and badly built.
