Universal IR Remote Controlled AC Outlet for Appliances (110V)

Pros: It works. Easy to set up. Works with all remote. Fit the power strip and not interfere with other plugs. It'll remember the remote

Cons: The plugs on both side won't fit US plug. So, it control 1 application only. Why I need to type at lease 500 characters.

Pros: *It's perfect, it catches the signal of my remote even from a big distance. *Easy to set up, just press the bottom on the device and it records the remote signal in less than 3 seconds. *Even if you unplug it it will remember the remote you have, so you don't have to set it up again.

Cons: *Plastic looks cheap Just that!

Other: I love this product, It's what I always needed, is easy to set up and it helps me not get up at night to turn off a lamp that is far away from my bed.

Pros: Great little gadget. I hooked it up to my HD remote and it turns on the lights as i need them

Cons: Labeling needs to be changed. On the back, it indicats 220V model, but i took a risk and it was the 110V as stated.
Both sides of the plug dont fit with US/CDN plugs. They are not safety certified probably because both sides of the sizes are the same.
I cant read chinese, but good thing there is a poster already who told me how to program this

Other: Very cheap, others from my local stores cost a good 50 bux and it does not allow your own remote

Pros: It works just out of the box and can support as much current as any power strip you might use to your home appliances. You can operate it just pressing its button or with any remote control (it can learn your remote codes). It is easy to operate, anyone can do it.

Cons: -It came with no manual and with some Mandarin inscriptions and this means you need to figure out how to use (press and hold the button to enter learn mode and press quickly to on/off).
-Even when you buy the 110V version it came with 220V inscription. It is not really a problem since you can figure out that a 220V/10A device might handle the half current under 110V (due to conductor sections inside) and since this is only a relay with minor electronics there will be no problem at all (as much as any other power strip)
-the worst problem is the lack of ground pin. I want to use it with ground to my computer stuff but I will have to make some modifications. I was not able to found any model with ground pin.

Other: You don´t need to be an expert technician to figure out how the button works but a paper with few instructions in English would help someone.

Pros: - On / Off from remote control is excellent when you are in bed.
- Learns infrared frequency from ANY ir remote control.
- Protects my equipment from transients since it's has a very little delay to start after an power break.

Cons: - The infrared receptor could be located in other place like on top of it (I have to drill a hole on top and move the receptor).
- Mine came with 220V at manual and an 110V label (handwrited...)

Other: - WORKS AS DESIGNED!!! If you want an IR power switch, try this one.

Pros: This little device came promptly for my order.
- does what it is supposed to do (which is allow you to easily program any remote with this device)
- Despite not reading previous reviews, I was able to easily program the device. It's not rocket science. Manually clicking the button would allow you to turn the device on and off. Therefore, the next logical step would be to attempt to hold onto the button. The little red light would start flickering, with your remote control (any sort, I used my tv remote using a useless button) directed at the device, press your button of choice. Just like that, it will be programmed and will be ready for use!
-Despite others saying that there was no inscription on whether or not these were for 110v or 220v, mine had 110v hand written on them.

Cons: - the plastic is a bit cheap
- the instructions are in Chinese (not good for those of us who are Chinese illiterate). Perhaps would suggest the manufacturer to include a set of English instructions.
- Came in a cheap plastic bag, no packaging whatsoever (minor detail)

I would say would be for North American users, the fitment of this device on your electrical socket is very poor. It's loose and can easily come off if you accidentally hit it. This could be a potential fire hazard I would presume (bare in mind I am no electrical techie, but it does seem rather dangerous)
- price I feel is a bit much, since this looks like your average dealextreme product in which they would regularly charge you about $3 bucks for it.

Other: I would definitely suggest getting this If you're lazy like me :P .

Pros: Super fast shipping. From China to Indiana, USA in 10 days.
Product does exactly what it is supposed to do.

Cons: No documentation on how to use it. One peice of paper would do it. Packaging was on the light side but enough to protect the item.

Other: great item, but needs a one page sheet on how to use it.

Pros: Very nice little device to solve a problem we had - turning on and off a lamp that is positioned behind a couch.
Easy to program, and works reliably. We use one of the mini-keychain remotes that we gone from Dealextreme because we can hang it on a nail by the door and grab it on the way in. Very useful combo.

Cons: The only problem is it came with no instructions at all, and the writing on it was in Chinese. I wouldn't have known how to program it if not for the past reviews.

Other: Handy little gadget for the need.

Other: Works great, do what it is expected to do. Do not use together with the remote apliance. I don't know how much energy it use to work, but you can chance the plug and it will remember the comand to turn on/off.

Pros: It works. It's easy to use. 10A is a good current (127V * 10A = 1270W)

Actually, my 110V item was plugged and used in a 220V tension for all a day, and it's still working very well.

Cons: it's consumption (in standby, or turned on without a electronic plugged) is about 4W, wish is 2880W in a 30-day month, that is a 100W lamp working about 30 hours, or $0,70/month where I live (R$1,40~1,50 .. Brasil).

Other: Buy it if you don't care about the 4W. It's very usefull to your confort and it's easy to program
