What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Pros: It is a great little tool for covering the hot shoe as it prevents the camera becoming caught on the bag as I move it in or out. It also prevents the strap or clothes becoming caught on the hot shoe.
I think it also makes the camera look a little better as the black cover blends in with the black camera body.
Cons: None.
Other: Sure it is an expensive piece of plastic but it is cheaper than a genuine one.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: It's just a small piece of plastic that protects the hot shoe from dust etc. It probably also looks more decent with a cover on the hot shoe.
Pricing is also quite good, as Canon or any other manufacturer would probably ask a lot more than 1.65$ for a similiar cover.
Cons: It doesn't fit Sony or Minolta DSLR camera's, although the title says "Universal". Maybe my mistake, because I didn't check the hot shoe of my Sony A200 before buying one of these.
Other: What can I say about this piece of plastic? Well, it's cheap and should just do its job well, if it would fit.

Pros: Great little cover to insert in your hotshoe cover. Prevents things from catching on the hotshoe, also protects contacts, and helps makes camera less intrusive.
Cons: May very well stuff up your cameras built in flash. Many point and shoots that have a hotshoe also have a little switch on the side, so when you insert the cover, it will disable onboard flash.
Other: Great buy for SLR owners perhaps, but point and shoot owners may need to consider if this will disable your flash. You might want to modify the cover; won't matter as much if you damage it by accident, it only cost $1.55 after all.

Pros: It's very simple to use. Just insert at the place of the flash.
Cons: Insert direction is not clear, but this is only a problem the first time you use it.
It is just a bit smaller than it should be. It feels a little loose, but it hasn't fell in this week I've been using it.
It can get lost very easily. I glued a string to it and connected it to the camera.
Other: It does protect the shoe, but I don't know if it is really worth buying this.
It can't harm though...

Pros: É muito legal! Realmente cobre bem a entrada (sapata) do flash. Com certeza deve impedir a entrada de poeira, sujeira, etc. Quando coloquei, achei que fosse sair com facilidade, mas não, se adaptou bem. Pelo preço também vale a pena.
It's really cool! Really covers well the input (hot shoe) flash. Surely keep out dust, dirt, etc.. When I put, I thought it was going out with ease, but no, it has adapted well. For the price well worth it.
But ... if you have a Canon SX10is unfortunately will not be of much use. When you put the protector, the camera identifies you entered an external flash and modify the settings. I think this shoe camera has "sensors" on the sides. A pity.
Other: Legal!
Nice!

Pros: - This is a must when you lose the original cover, which is likely. I lost mine in Havana this summer.
- It's a solid piece of plastic.
- Fits perfectly (Olympus E-620 hot shoe).
Cons: - Price a bit high for just a plastic. Maybe right for at least 2-3 of them in the very same bag this one comes in.
Other: This is a right product even at a bit high price, considering an original one would cost more and, worse, you might not even find it at stores... it does the job well and remember it is important to keep your hot shoe's connections clean and well. This one fits OLYMPUS, for sure. I don't know about other brands.

Pros: tiny and cute, quite useful. It is not expensive when compared to other hot shoes covers.
Cons: does not fit PERFECTLY of my Canon 7D, quite disappointed...although it said it is for DSLR and universal
Other: check before you buy. It would be nice if in the description tell buyers which cameras won't fit this tiny cover..

Pros: - Universal Hotshoe protector that fits most of the Camera Hotshoes. - Protect the contacts of your camera hotshoe against scratches, dust, humidity, water, etc. - If you don't always use a flash attached to your camera, it's better to keep it protected with this little thing. - You can order three of them in bulkrate and get them even cheaper. Great to protect all your modern DSLR and vintage SLR cameras.
Cons: - It could be a LOT cheaper... I mean... is just a piece of plastic! - Doesn't fit perfectly in most of the cameras that I have tried. Sometimes it does not enter completely into the hotshoe. Sometimes it is just too short to enter completely, but in any case it will cover your hotshoe and protect it. You can even cut it if it is too big, and then use a sandpaper to make it look good.
Other: Go for it!

Pros: -protect the hot shoe from dust, scracthes, etc -the plastic it's solid
Cons: -it's expensive for just a piece of plastic -i have a canon 450d (or xsi) and i can't use the pop-up flash with this protect case on camera. so i cut off a part of it to use the flash with the case on the camera
Other: go for it if you are looking for protection
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Its dummy proof seriously, you just have to slot it into the hotshoe slot and its done. Fits really well and my 500D looks great with it!
Cons: Its just a small plastic piece, $1.55 is expensive considering the array of fun stuff you can get on DX for the same price. I cannot use my pop-up flash when its in the hotshoe slot... my camera thinks an external flash is attached and won't allow me to manually pop up my flash... well i guess its either rust or a slight inconvenience?
Other: Overall good product, hard sturdy plastic piece for rust protection on your DSLR.
