Universal Wristwatch Disassembly and Repair Tool (19-Piece Set)

Pros: -Does the job.
-Seems to be "heads" for all kinds of existing and none-existing watches.

Cons: Everything was coverd in some extreamly thick oil, (almost wax-like). Hot wather solved that "issue".
Things fall out if you turn the box upside-down.

Other: Do you need to change battery in a watch?
Buy this one and a battery from DX. Change the battery yourself and it will still be cheaper than going to a "watchmaker".

Pros: This thing can open any kind of watches. I´ve opened some wristwatches bought from DX and eBay to test. You wont need to go to a watchmaker anymore. It worths every penny.

Cons: None that I can think.

Other: I think DX could make an improvement on a kit like Universal Wristwatch Repair Toolkit (16-Piece Set) to match the same quality of the Universal Wristwatch Disassembly and Repair Tool (19-Piece Set).

Pros: Well, i bought this product and the other dealextreme watch repairing kit, and i can say is that this is like a professional tool, and i have show it to a friend that is watch repairing, and he told me that is very good, because it has three points of contact with the nut, and normal ones are just using two
And there are a lot of bits so you will find the most accurate tool for your type of watch

Other: Good, fully recommendable

Pros: Small and compact, was easy to open my watch with it. Kind of a pain when you first use it but once you get the pins aligned it works really good. Variety of different pins for different watch backs.

Cons: One of the holes is a hair to big and causes the bit to fall out when turned over. One of the other ones was kinda stuck, took little bit of work to get it out. The other one came out without problem, but fit right.

Other: If you're looking for something to open your watch backing, and don't want to go to a place to have them do it, then get it.

Pros: The tool itself is of very decent quality construction. Multiple inserts are provided to adapt the tool to most common screw-on watch backs. I purchased it mainly so that I could change my own watch batteries. It's already paid for itself in watch repair labor costs.

Cons: The adapter inserts are somewhat fragile, especially those with angular bits.

Other: This one is superior to others sold in kits on this site.

Pros: Exactly what I need to get the screw back off watches. The tool feels solid and looks well made.

Cons: It would be nice if there was an exact match for the slots in my watch but given the number of different watch backs I suppose it would be hard to match every watch.

Other: If you do not have the time to find someone to replace the battery or do not want to pay for it then this is one tool that you need.

Pros: If you know how to hold a screwdriver, you'd probably be fine with that tool. When local watch shop asked me almost $20 to change the battery in my Swatch watch, I almost became speechless. I came back hope and almost for 1/2 price found that device. When it arrived, it took me only few minutes to open the watch, change the battery and close it back. Bingo, job done.
Tool is good, quite a few inserts included to open different type of watch. Build quality, as many people mentioned before, is good.

Cons: Better storage box would be nice, and some sort of manual (although you don't really need one), I am just trying to be a smart ass here :-)

Other: Money well spend. I'd rather buy batteries myself and change them ! This tool will save you time and money, for sure.

Pros: This is the correct tool for opening screw on watch backs. Yes, you can often make do with needle nose pliers but this tool will remove the back without risk of damage, slipping or marring. Extremely solid, all metal construction, heavy, strong and in a way over-engineered for removing watch back. The up side, of course, is it will outlast all your watches!

Cons: A this price you can't really complain but it would have been nice if the tips were screw in rather than a friction fit.

Other: If you ever need to open a screw on watch back there's no excuse not to buy this tool at this price.

Pros: Coherent with it's description, this tool is quite usefull if you need to do some basic work on you watches. Unlike many other products from DealExtreme, it comes with a hard case, which i liked a lot. It's made out of metal, feels solid and definetly not cheap.

Cons: Does not work with watch of every size and shape, but it's still quite usefull and, when it fits, does a good job

Other: I tried it with many watches and i must say that, even if not perfect, it does a good job most of the times. For this price I could'n ask more...

Pros: I hate paying for watch battery replacement! But many watches are not easily opened by the tools in my toolbox. Three watches that waited in the drawer were opened by this simple tool - effortless and quickly, without damaging the watch.
Tool is very solid and build quality is impressing for a non-professional tool.

Cons: It'd be nice if the tips were somehow attached, not held in place by slight friction.
