What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: -Built quality is good. -Led indicator clearly shows which PC is active -Auto switching works nicely. This means that which ever PC is turned on first gets selected automatically. -Switch can be operated by push buttons to select which PC is using the device behind the switch. - Windows software is included to allow user to select the active PC from windows without using push buttons on the switch . This could be handy and allows you to place the switch somewhere out of sight.
Cons: - No cables included - Auto switching can be annoying. Think do you need that feature or do you want to select the active input on the switch manually. -This is not mechanical switch and thus does no simply just pass thru the usb connection for the device behind the switch. What this means? ..windows sometimes nags to install driver for the switch when powering on the PC. However in windows the usb device behind the switch is still seen correctly, but this 'feature' ruined it for me.
Other: This product is probably OK if you have two windows PCs and want to share one usb printer between them or whatever. How ever if you have more exotic setup (Linux, mac machines, TVs or PVRs with usb connection) I can't really recommend this product as it asks for drivers and fiddles with the usb connection instead of just passing thru the usb connection from PC to the device behind the switch. At least I'm going to look for a mechanical switch next.
