What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Build quality is very good Full retail packaging as pictured - even shrink wrapped. Includes DVI - VGA and DVI - HDMI adapters Working well. Running at 1280x1024 VGA for a third monitor with a Dell Precision laptop and docking station (plugged into docking station). Very little lag in desktop applications - haven't tried any form of video or games but didn't buy it for that. Video quality at 1280x1024 75Hz is fairly good - at 60Hz it wasn't great for some reason. I'd prefer to use DVI but the LCD I'm using at the moment is not capable of that.
Cons: Whilst it didn't ask to reboot when I installed the drivers, it gave an error saying it "couldn't write the device". The manual said unplug and plug it in again but that did not work. Rebooted and all was working fine after setting up resolutions etc again. Changed the display numbering order after the reboot (it became display 2 and the docking station external display became display 3). None of these are really that much of a con though.
Other: Maybe a little expensive but is good quality compared to some of the DX stuff I've bought (admittedly much cheaper)
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: (1) Small form factor, compared to other devices (like Matrox Dual Head To Go) which do the same thing. (2) Ease of installation - drivers downloaded from product website. (3) Excellent build quality. (4) Optional adaptors included - for DVI/HDMI/VGA (5) So far I have not experienced any latency with in image updating, though I would not use this in a gaming monitor.
Cons: (1) Could not configure my monitor "numbering" precisely the way I wanted, but can live with this.
Other: Very useful device to extend your screen real-estate, at comparatively low cost.
