USB Camera Connector + SD Card Reader Kit for iPad

Pros: it is cheap, able to connect my PC card reader with usb and read CF cards (and other cards). the usb falsh reading is tricky. with cidia and ifile you can read/write/delete/copy files from usbflash to ipad.

Cons: Build Quality is not perfect. with unexpected movement you can damage (break connectors) of ipad or USB Camera Connector (i think it is betteer to use it with some extension cord). i am waiting for CF card reader. dont work with UDMA card readers, but with standart card reader it work perfectly !

Other: it is perfect tool for viewing and coping your pictures. backup storage for files , coing from USB memorys or memory cards ! waiting for some new readers for my iPad !

Pros: The Adapter is eary to use. With os4.2 on the ipad the usb Port works without any Problem connecting a Nikon D200 and a lumix TZ2. Copy the photos to the Ipad is very easy. I tested an external multi Card-reader and it works with CF-Card and SD-card (see cons)

Cons: The SD reader doesn't work with 4.2. The Ipad say it needs to much current. That is surprising, becaus an extenal Card reader works on the USB port. I think teh internal electonic for SD is bad buld.

Other: Buy it f you have no problems using a carc reader with the camera connector.

Pros: Simple, clean. Build quality good with mould lines neat and precise. Works with camera with USB cable to upload photographs to iPhoto, as long as camera doesn't require power from the iPad.

Cons: Changes to the operating system by Apple means some of the functionality of this item has disappeared, through no fault of this item's manufacturer.

Other: Do not purchase this if your iPad is running iOS 4.2 (and probably all future versions) and you need to use the SD card reader. In early Dec 2010, Apple released iOS 4.2 which reduced power available on the dock connector from 100mA to 20mA, meaning that this will prevent the SD card reader working and probably most keyboards working as well. The only remaining use is to allow you to connect a self-powered camera via a USB cable to upload pictures, where it does work.

Pros: Good quality of Camera Connector + SD Card Reader Kit for iPad. Good quality of package. Low price. Thanks to DealeXtreme.

Cons: It is very simple to copy photos from cameras or SD-cards to the iPad with this Camera Connector + SD Card Reader Kit for iPad. Everything works fine (IOS 4.3).

Other: If you want to have a useful gadget to your iPad, just buy it.
