Pros: - Nice sound quality - Good mechanism. Easily handles my old tapes which my regular tape cannot handle. - Auto reverse head - Can be powered by 1) USB 2) batteries 3) direct DC 3V power supply - Can be used either as a USB capture device or a standalone walkman

Cons: IMPORTANT: THIS DEVICE PLAYS IN MONO ONLY!!!! Headphone port plays mono. USB device is recognized as a microphone and plays MONO ONLY, even thought I selected 2 channels. - There's little sound from the motor, but not very serious.

Other: DON'T BUY unless you don't care about playing everything in mono. I'll try to return the item I received.

Pros: With the software and the device itself, this is a very simple way to transfer over tapes into mp3's with little fuss and the software itself is excellent. I was makin an mp3 in no time

Cons: If you're using older tapes, WATCH THEM when you first press play. It can easily munch, so make first the wheels are spinning properly once you first hit play. Prolly due the fact that some tapes are just older, which is why you would be getting the device.

Other: Can't recommend the item enough - LOVE IT!

Pros: It really worked for me. I had many cassette tapes with old musics and lectures. They are now digital.

Cons: I had something around 20 cassette tapes to convert, but the mechanism and gears started to be hard and the speed record gets in slow mode. Only the first 10 tapes worked in a perfect record. I decided to buy a new one, but not this one. There is another sku on DX.com with an Stereo device similar than this.

Other: Even it stopped working I got satisfied due to I got many tapes in digital format till it stops to work.
