    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: It is a standard iPad dock. It works for both first generation and second gen iPad.
    But I don't recommend it for second gen iPad.
    I have both and have tested it. Will try a upload some pictures.

    Cons: The fit for second gen iPad is not very good. There is too much gap between the iPad's back and the support piece.
    It seems to bend the connector.
    I'm not going to use it for my second gen iPad without something in the gap to prop it up.

    Other: Was shopping for a dock for my second generation iPad. This is not it...

    Pros: - fits ipad2 like a glove (see my photos
    - white (like my iPad 2)
    - placing iPad 2 on it is easy
    - audio out works fine

    Cons: - not sure what the mini usb connector does?
    - sound is turned off on iPad once you connect it/volume doesn't work: you need to connect your headset or speakers

    Other: Good docking station. I bought 2 one for my work desktop and one for my bed stand.
    Can recommend it (also available in black).
