Pros: all of you IT-guys out there: thats the thing you've been waiting for. just plug and play any SATA drive out there, no worries and cables any more.
Cons: see product rating for cons and pros. sums it all. PRODUCT BOX SAYS MORE FEATURES. product doesn't have the card reader and USB hub as box says. item is as described here exactly.
Other: go get them. characters limit is annoying. characters limit is annoying. characters limit is annoying. characters limit is annoying. characters limit is annoying. characters limit is annoying. characters limit is annoying.

Pros: Good interchanging drives on the fly with out need for a re boot. Excellent for system builders and people who have to move large files. I'm going to use it for daily backups of a small W2k server.
Cons: Poor Build quality my on/off button didnt function properly and was loose on arrival I had to push it in and play with it a bit to ge tthe unit powered up.
Other: Probably one of the best items I have picked up in a while got 3 units and probably should have got 4! PS I hate these 500 word limits!!

Pros: 1. Installation is as easy as 1-2-3. Just plug in the power and USB (or eSATA)cables, chuck in your HDD, and turn it on!
2. Vista detected my new 1.5TB Seagate Barracuda with no issues whatsoever.
3. The drive is detected as an external drive, so you can finally hot-swap your internal drives!
4. Although slightly large, the device has a base large enough to ensure it is steady and won't fall over easily.
Cons: No real "cons" per se but if I were to nitpick:
1. Slightly on the large side.
2. Only comes in one colour so you'd better love red and black.
3. The HDD wobbles just very very slightly.
Other: If you've ever run short of hard disk space and dreaded having to swap out your existing hard drives for new ones (and potentially losing access to some data!), this device will make all those problems go away.

Pros: - It's plug and play, just put in your hard drive, connect it to USB or E-sata and you're done.
- It's much better than an external hard drive because when you buy another hard drive they are hot swappable.
Cons: - It doesn't switch off automatically with PC, you have to turn it off with the switch and that's a little bit annoying.
- The red led is very bright and annoying when dark
Other: I needed this because my case couldn't hold all my hard drives anymore. If you have this problem or you're out of sata connections => Buy this

Pros: Easy to USE, just put the HD in the dock and plug the cables.
Fácil de usar, só coloque o HD no dock e plugue os cabos.
Has E-SATA, and it worked very well with my Asus G50VT-X1 notebook
Tem E-SATA, e funcionou muito bem com meu notebook Asus G50VT-X1
Nice Design
Design bem bonito
Cons: The AC power plug is UK standard, but you can easyly substitue it with any commom PC AC power plug, just use a cable that is equal to that on that you use on you PC Power supply.
O plugue da tomada é do padrão inglês, mas você pode o substituir pelo um cabo igual ao que você usa para conectar seu PC a tomada.
Other: I Really liked it. If you work you IT, buy it!
Eu realmente gostei. Se você trabalha com informática, compre!

Pros: Well, the biggest pro for me is that I use it to quick swap hard drives. I use the hard drives as a REALLY BIG FLOPPY! So I store all my DVD's and music on hard drives and store them in a DJ case.
I used the eSata and USB, and both work well. Transfer rate from USB is between 30 and 40 MB/S.
Cons: The biggest problem involves eSata and windows. It SHOULD be possible to eject the HDD from windows (use program HOTSWAP!). After some time windows locks the drive and it can only be safely removed by shutting down the PC. This is not a problem with the dock, but with windows! So, I now just use the USB connection. It's fast enough.
Other: Good is you regularly swap hard drives.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - eSata is as fast as an internal HD - USB so you can use in any computer - easy to swap HDs - Good design - Cheap
Cons: - doesn't power off by itself, you have to turn it of with a switch - eSata is hard to work out on some computers, be sure you have installed the eSata ports correctly - HDs tends to lose data if remain unconnected for several years - The backup function isn't very useful
Other: Could use it perfectly on my laptop, but couldn't get it to work in my desktop computer, but maybe it's not the device's fault.

Pros: I bought this dock station because I don´t have any free SATA connectors inside my computer. I save a lot of hi definition films and shows in my HD. Because of that, I need space in HD or I need to use many HDs. With this dock station, I no longer need to open the computer to install the HD. The e-sata connection gives an excellent speedy for data transfers. It´s plug and play for Windows XP.
Cons: The AC power plug should have a on/off button or it should turn off automatically with the computer.
Other: Good is you regularly swap hard drives, and cheap. Buy it! Buy it! Buy it! You will never know when you will need it.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: This product is very useful if you plan to swap hdds a lot. Fast, reliable. Hot swappable on usb and on e-sata mode. The backup button is useless, but who cares. The design looks very nice. Supports 2.5 and 3.5 sata hdds.
Cons: The e-sata does not work very well: when removing the drive, it does not park the hdd head. You should use a third-party software to park before removing the hdd on e-sata mode.
Other: Extremely good price. Buy it, you'll not regret. No more external hard drives: just swap the internal ones and store them for quick retrieval.
