USB Laser Handheld Barcode Scanner/Reader for Desktop/Laptop (2M-Cable)

Pros: An incredible price for a laser-based scanner. Scans very quickly. Can catch barcodes from over a foot (30 cm)away. Manual is clear enough to get the unit programmed.

Cons: Manual is in Chinglish and doesn't offer a lot of explanation for the various functions (you can learn more online). Sometimes misses a barcode and you have to scan several times to read it. Cord might be a little short for some.

Other: For the price, this scanner is absolutely incredible!

Pros: This is a really wonderfull piece of material. Had several barcodescanners before, that use light as reading source. This one uses a laserbeam, which makes it much more accurate to read barcodes. Works from a distance from up to 20cm.

Cons: Difficult to configure with the ssmall manual which is provided. Contains mostly barcodes to configure something, but not easy to check what.

Other: If you need a quick and accuracte barcode reader, this is the one. Pricing is OK for this type of scanner, reading performance is top. Easy to target the barcode, due to the laser beam.

Pros: Supports all popular types of 1d barcodes (UPC/EAN, Code39, 2 of 5, Code 128). Pretty fast, scans at least 2-3 barcodes per second. Works from up to 60 cm if barcode is really big.

Cons: Internal beeper is VERY loud! I had to use a 300-Ohm resistor to adjust the volume. English keyboard layout must be active (in Windows) when scanning barcodes containing letters, otherwise the code will be typed erroneously in the current layout.

Other: Cheap, easy to use, would buy it again.

Pros: This barcode scanner is simply THE BEST SCANNER I've ever owned. The quality of it exceeded my expectations. It worked the first time I plugged it in, it was recognized by Windows 7 and XP Pro, and required no configuration whatsoever.

Cons: There is absolutely NOTHING I can say negative about this scanner. NOTHING.

Other: I AM VERY happy with this scanner in every way and the quality can not be beat at double or even triple the price. Bottom line is THIS IS AN EXCELLENT SCANNER.

Pros: This scanner did everything right. It installed quickly and easily. Manual was easy to follow once one got the hang of it. There are many configuration options but you can be up and running by just plugging in the scanner It is light weight by does not feel flimsy. The scanner read even small bar codes printed with my inkjet printer and a wide range of codes on various packages and documents. Speed was quite satisfactory.

Cons: Not a scanner for rugged environments. Suitable for lab or general office.

Other: Would be hard to beat for simplicity price and precision.

Pros: - Reads pretty much any 2D barcode out there
- Reads are very fast. For best accuracy aim it at about 20 to 30 cm from the barcode
- Works as a USB keyboard. No driver or software required.
- Does not need configuration, the defaults are fine for most uses.
- It can optionally send a prefix or suffix that indicates the type of barcode detected.
- It can extend UPC -> EAN, and several other transformations.

Cons: - Even when in trigger mode, the mirror keeps swinging (which is the only mechanical part), this might wear out with time.
- The manual is for several models and assumes some knowledge of typical barcode readers.

Other: Great barcode reader for experimenting and general use.

Pros: Les plus : - rapide - pas d'erreur de lecture - reconnaissance directe sur le PC (pas besoin de driver) - support la plupart des codes barres 1D

Cons: Les moins : - un peu léger mais pour le prix, ce n'est pas un problème - configuration par le manuel un peu complexe

Other: Un très bon produit, rapport qualité/prix imbattable!

Pros: Can read almost all codabar; Nice quality and look; Can read bank codabar sistems but you need to find a application to convert the digit verificator; Very quick!

Cons: I did find! After find a application to convert the codes of the banks every thing worked fine.

Other: Excelent Barcode Scanner to stores and cashiers after all.

Pros: * Cheap compared to many others * Laser is much more easier than CCD * Accurate, works without errors * Not too big, looks bigger than what it is

Cons: * Lack a pouch to keep the canner safe * Sound (beep) is too high * Cable cannot detach unless case is opened

Other: If you need a basic scanner this one will do the job!

Pros: Cheap. Works great. Worked with every bar code I tried. Barato. Funciona perfeitamente. Funcionou com todos os codigos de barra que testei.

Cons: Sometimes you have to aim the laser from different distances for it to work. As vezes você que aumentar a distância pra conseguir a letura.

Other: Unless you have a big company and will use it all day long this product is perfect. It's cheap but durable. Pay your bills easily.
