What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. If you are looking for wholesale prices please feel free to contact us.

Pros: I needed a spare cable and purchased this one that functions just as wellas the original factory one.
Cons: No cons that I can see. As long as it can charge and sync then its all you need.
Other: I would recommend purchasing this cable as a spare. It charges and synced you phone. The size of the end that plugs onto the phone is a tiny bit larger but works fine.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Much cheaper than buying a working cable.
Cons: It doesn't work. Apple apparently built a microchip into the lightning cable design that handshakes with the device to tell it what kind of cable is connected. There either isn't a chip in this one, or the chip is not properly authorized. Literally no reaction from the iPod.
Other: Don't buy this. It doesn't work. Get the official cable or wait until Apple authorizes after market manufacturers.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: 1/3 of the price of an official cable, without sacrificing any functionality.
Cons: A real Apple Geek could tell it's not official because the USB plug is a bit bigger. The price seems high, but should come down as more manufacturers figure out how to beat Apple's authentication chip inside he cable.
Other: Great cable for little money.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: This cable works just fine... One way. It is not reversible like a genuine Apple lightning cable. It charges and syncs just fine when you plug it in one way but not the other.. One the other hand, and the time I ordered it, official Apple cables were sold out. It beats not having an extra cable at all.
Cons: Not reversible. Kind of defeats the purpose of the connector, but handy to have in a pinch.
Other: Buy the official Apple cable if you can. Put a dot on this cable with a sharpie so that you won't plug it in backwards.

Pros: Can sync and charge just like the cable that came with the iPhone 5.
Cons: The Lightening connector is slightly larger and not quie as elegant. It may not fit with some phone cases.
Other: Excellent budget product without having to pay Apple prices. The lightening connector is slightly thicker and much wider so that if you have a case that wraps around the bottom the connector may not plug in. I bought three of these for the car home and work so I can charge my iPhone 5 wherever I am.

Pros: It works just like the standard cable. I read someone in the reviews say it only works in one way, this is not true. You can plug the cable in both ways, it will charge and sync. It does its supposed job.
Cons: You can feel the outer core is not the same quality rubber as the original cable. I would also like to have a longer cable, which are not yet available at DX. Mine was a little scuffed here and there.
Other: First of all, you cant go wrong, its cheaper than apple's and does the same job. It could be a little cheaper though, $ 15,30 is not really a low price for DX. Since i orderded (took 5 weeks to ship) cheaper alternatives have become available also on this site. See SKU 163395.

Pros: The cable works just like the original one. Syncs and charges no matter how you plug it in. Unlike a previous comment that said that it only works plugged in one way, I have found that not to be the case and it just works fine both ways. The build quality fine. It seems durable.
Cons: Not really a big negative, just pointing out the difference in size with the original cable. On the lightning connector side of the cable, the white plastic part is slightly thicker, less than 1mm and about 3.5 mm longer. I didn't even notice it until I held it next to the original one. I have a bigger gripe with the metal part of the lightning connector. It seems to be just slightly bigger than the original one, making harder to plug it in and to unplug. Maybe it needs a little bit of use to wear it in.
Other: At a price of 7.99 or (preferably) lower, it's a decent cable.

Pros: Well, I guess it´s cheap, and you will get real strong hands after all the effort taken to jam this piece of ** into the phone.
Cons: It will seriosly mess up your iPhone/iPad. The poor fit will permanently break the inner parts of the iPhone charge port. It also only works for charging, no music streaming to a car stereo i.e.
Other: Pay the extra bucks for an Apple one, it will fit better and last longer.

Pros: Perfect fit into the iphone 5, looks like the original cable, and has same quality as the original one!
Cons: cant't come up with any cons on this product!
Other: Bottomline is... it works awesome, had no problem with this and im going to buy some more cables from DX =)
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: connector looks like the original iphone 5 usb connector. It works as expected. No problem with an iPhone 5 while charging. Not one of those flimsy iPhone cables that get broken after some use. Actually really sturdy, good build quality.
Cons: Can't think of any. It meets all my requirements.. Well, the price can always be a bit lower.
Other: 100% working, 100% usefull. Great buy!
