When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. Pros: Is complaint with USBEE suite (V1.1.49) So it can sniff out CAN, SPI, I2C, MicroWire, PS2 and other protocols. Cheap
Cons: The latest version of the USBEE suite will probely re-flash the onboard EEPROM. When this happens the USB PID/VID are resetted so it wont work anymore.. There is an fix to re-program the EEPROM but it's better when this doent accur in the first place.
Other: A cheap logic analyzer, and it does work....!!!!!!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: as a simple logic analyzer (no tried as oscilloscope) it works, I followed the instruxtion on the forum and I was able to measure some PWM signals without any problem, thus for the price I think it is worthly
Cons: the "probes" are not the best it si a bit difficult to put them in position but in any case they worked. No instruction in the package, I have to read the forum, download the right USBEE version thanks Roirah
Other: in m view if you need a cheap logic analyzer just for hobby it is worthly

Pros: 1. Cheep. 2. Compatible with USBee. 3. Wide bandwidth.
Cons: 1. Can work one analog channel at some time. 2. Very low the low limits of analog oscilloscope measurement. For normal use need limits measurement voltage more 600 VDC, since amplitude voltage in AC socket is 310 V, but this device may measure 10V maximum. 3. Have not standard barrel connector for oscilloscope probes. 4. Black color case, i like white.
Other: Device may use only for fun, since logic level electronic device enough testing in computer simulator and it very infrequently break and often break power electronic this device can not aid repair because oscilloscope have low voltage limits.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Does adequately what is supposed to do. Very good price compared to its "alternatives". Very good functionality compared to its "low cost alternatives".
Cons: The cable does not have enough pins for all the connections possible to make. The cable color order does not match the reference (but if you separate all the wires you can easilly reorder those). Require one to use older SW versions (see DX forums). Or you can do the basically simple HW modification. But since I broke my first device when doing this, so I've not tried to make this to my current device.
Other: Happy with this tool.
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Easy to use, does what is intended to do. Very good quality to money ratio. Works great with USBEE suite. Tested with SPI & I2C sniffing works good. Can be very helpful for troubleshooting
Cons: Probes are not the easiest or best to use but I didn't expect any better quality for that money
Other: It is a very good tool for amateur prototyping. It was never meant to be used with professional work.

Pros: This is by far the best hobby oscilloscope DX.com has to offer! Although it is a $700 USBee AX Test Pod clone, it acomplishes any task a usual electronics hobbyist would ever need to do! Even if the hardware is not that ground-breaking in therms of performance, it compensates with it's extremely complex PC software: no unsigned drivers, Windows x64 support (even Win8!), a ton of functions (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, signal generator, etc.), as opposed to the other cheap USB oscilloscopes.
Cons: As stated by almost all reviewers, because it is a clone, the original software designers took advantage of one of it's design flaw (EEPROM not write protected), leading to an erased memory => "Device not recognized" (see forums below). Thus I recommend that, before you even connect it for the first time to your PC, to cut the EEPROM's 7th pin and connect to it's 8th one, enabling it's hadware read-only operation, bypassing any erors with even the latest software version.
Other: Best DX.com purchase so far! This unit, combined with a pair of decent oscilloscope probes (for ex. SKU101452) enables you to measure signals up to +/-100V (theoretically, but it's better than it's hardware-limited range of +/-10V).

Pros: - Works well with the USBEE AX software from their website (package from 02/09/09). - The plastic feels solid
Cons: - The main problem is that the oscilloscope ADC is ~50mV per bit, making it impossible to work with small voltages. - Lacks rubber feet - The software is fast in Win XP, but excruciatingly slow in Win7 x64 - Probes need to be manually plugged in into the box 1 by 1. If you do this in order, their color doesn't match the software.
Other: Get just a logic analyzer for cheaper if a coarse oscilloscope is not useful to you. Otherwise, this is a good buy.
