    Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)

    Pros: - Nice crsip sound for a unit of that size - Microphone works very well, even when at a distance of half a metre - The unit powered by a single usb plug, meaning you don't have to worry about external power adapter - Top control buttons work with all the major media players I've tested - Very lightweight so unit can be carried around with laptop - Bass is surprisingly very good

    Cons: - Doesn't have an input audio jack so it can be used strictly as a speaker only - Can't get it to work in linux

    Other: Have not tried it with Skype yet as the product was designed for but as an external soundcard with inbuilt speakers and mic, it works like a charm. For the asking price, you can't go wrong.
