What is Bulk Rate? BulkRate is a semi-wholesale system with items priced separately from retail. When you use bulk rates, a flat $1.70 registered air mail fee will automatically be added to your cart to ensure delivery of package. While BulkRate's intention is to offer cheaper prices when you buy in bulk, because it is priced separately it on occassions show a higher than retail price. That's why we ask you to enter BULKRATE as a coupon code to manually activate the rates. You can always opt not to use the bulk rates. Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: - the part has a CMedia CM119 controller inside (see "other thoughts" what it is good for)
- works as expected with no problems
- output sound quality is ok
- 16 bit input ADC resolution
Cons: - only mono input (as expected)
- no user manuel included, but it's simple to use it
- no 7.1, but who expects this at this price.
Other: Great for DIY purposes, but also works good as a simple soundcard^^

Pros: even cheaper than the other C-Media based sound cards. perfect for having dual independent Winamp windows open, Virtual DJ dual sound card setups, Traktor dj, and Mixmeister Fusion (which is what i currently use it for). great card for those with laptops or desktops with broken audio jacks. truly plug and play on windows and mac
Cons: might not have the super extra clean sound of $100+ cards but is definitely better than internal audio of laptops.
Other: cheapest of the C-media based cards on DX, same great sound quality.

Pros: + Solid construction.
+ Easy to use.
+ Plug and play on Linux, no drivers were needed!
+ Onboard volume control and mute ability.
+ Standard outputs, worked with my headphones, speakers and desktop microphone!
+ Easy to read indicator LEDs.
Cons: + Due to orientation of USB port, the buttons and indicators were facing down, minor issue.
+ Bulky design won't allow it to fit with other devices in adjacent ports.
Other: Great value, works well on Linux. Would buy again if a replacement was ever needed!
Involvement Level: Expert (understands the inner workings)
Pros: Good device, cheep and plug-and-play - easy to use. No extra drivers needed. My Skype recognise it and I could use it without any settings
Cons: Unstable when you plug it and cumbersome for my notebook. When it's plugged you must click buttons very carefuly. Not 7.1 ch, but very good sound quality.
Other: For best performance you need extended USB cable. It's much better if you plug it in the cable, and then you can have it in the hand and use all buttons on the device. So if you want this (or similiar) device consider to buy USB Female-Male cable.

Pros: + It´s really plug-and-play. Just plug it, connect the speakers, and you are ready to rock. + Really intuitive controls (volume, out mute, in mute). + Sound is awesome, very clear. + No drivers needed + The price! (less than 4 dollars)
Cons: + The build quality but... + The sound it´s not 7.1 but... ...who can expect this paying this ammount?
Other: Awesome product for the price you are going to pay.

Pros: - It is very cheap device even if it's not cheapest in dealextreme here.
- does not require any installation.
- Works great with Win7.
- good solution for those who needs additional sound device. For example for djing with Virtual DJ or Tracktor.
- makes no noise and no crackling sounds like cheaper versions around here.
- Output sound is bigger than in laptops.
Cons: - built very cheap and you have to glue it yourself if you want to last this device longer.
Other: This item is definitely worth your money.
It is cheap and you do get what you pay for.

Pros: It is very cheap device
Works great with Win7
Output sound is very high
Plug-and-play installation is automatically
The price is good
Onboard volume control and mute ability
Cons: Bulky design won't allow it to fit with other devices in adjacent ports.
Not 7.1 ch, but that's ok
I think it to loud may damage hearing, but if you use wisely it not big deal.
Build quality hm i say ok
The bigest cons for me is when tested its seems audio channels are swapped when press on left side to test sound, and sound comes on right side (maybe its only mine works that way)
Other: Great product for the price you are going to pay.

Pros: This is a great sound card for the price! It has great sound and it is only plug and play! Did not have to install anything else! Ease of use is great!
Cons: The build quality feels as if it could be a little better but either than that I have no critics for this product!
Other: If you need an affordable usb sound card, this is the one.

Pros: Very cheap. It works just fine. Solid. It have some extra buttons that are not found in some other similar devices, such as: 1) mute mic button. 2) mute speakers button. 3) increase volume. 4) decrease volume. The connectors worked just fine for me and they got recognized very fast by Windows 7 professional 64 bits. Great!
Cons: None at all...
Other: If you have a notebook that don't have jacks for microphone/speakers then this is a must have. I have bougt a similar device that was cheaper than this but the sound quality was terrible. This is way better!

Pros: If you have a PC with no sound-card (or the sound-card has been dis-abled by an over-zealous Admin!), then this is the job. It fits on the front USB slot of my Dell Desktop and I can still use the USB slot beside it, but your milage may vary.
Cons: A little bulky, but not really a complaint - just keep it in mind if you're tight for space. Stick it on the back of the PC and run a lead to your headphones / speakers if you like!
Other: Well worth the (tiny) price!
