UNI-T UT61E 2.6" LCD Digital Multimeter - Red + Black (1 x 9V 6F22 Battery)

Pros: The meter feels really solid and it doesn't twist or squeak. Doesn't slide if used flat on a bench. Wide tilting bail. Compact. Nice resolution and reasonably accurate. True RMS. Wide range of measurements. Fast autoranging. Continuity beeper is quite fast and latched. Optoisolated RS232 interface. It has some input protection. (2 PTCs) Doesn't use glass fuses.

Cons: No temperature measurement or lcd backlight. Beeper can not be disabled. (Or can it?) No auto power off. (But I don't like that feature anyway) I don't like the probes. They have and angled plug. No Linux software and I couldn't get the software working under wine. Although I think there is a third party open source alternative software for this.

Other: For this money (or even a little more) you can't find a better meter.

Pros: One of the best DMM from China. Offer many feature in more expensive meters. Optically coupled RS 232 PC data log/ plot feature is nice. Build quality is great

Cons: No back light :( Shipping time was too long -may be due to Chinese New Year

Other: If you are looking for a advanced DMM for a moderate budjet look no further, buy this

Pros: Not only does this multimeter have features you will not find at this price point in any other unit, it is solidly built and seems to be very reliable based on my experience and other reviews. I was turned on to this unit from the multimeter shootout on the EEVblog. Cons: No backlight. Can't think of any others.

Other: Stop thinking and buy it. It's a tool you won't regret owning.

Pros: * True-RMS autoranging 22000 counts multimeter for under $60 is itself very tempting offer * Solidly built * Fast continuity test mode, reasonably fast autoranging.

Cons: * No backlight (can be easily added if you familiar with soldering, just google it) * Beeps when changing modes * No easy fuse access - need to remove the entire cack panel * Supplied PC connectivity cable is for COM-port, you need to spend $3 for some COM-USB adapter to use this feature on most modern computers.

Other: This is imho THE best meter you can buy in this price range.

Pros: Quality multimeter, best price-quality ratio, nice design good measurement

Cons: shortcomings are minor compared to the advantages no auto power off no back light the protective rubber is not detachable no auto power off is justified because possibility for logging results whit PC
